There is earthquake rocked some countries including India, Sri Lanka, Mynamar, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Maldiv and Bangla Desh. Meanwhile thousands of people died and millions are suffering. Sri Lanka Govt. declared a state of emergency and asked help from Indian Govt. I want to know what kind of help have been provided to them. If not why not? Being a leader of Asian countries I expect a quick help to be provided to the needy people of Sri lanka as well as others.

dear suresh
Not only for being a Asian leade but also as a good neighbour it is our moral responsibilites to help those effected countries. But i am doubt that relief material may be reached to those effected people or not because of the corruption.

Thanks to Govt. of India for providing timely help to Indians, Sri Lankans, Maldivians as well as offerring help to other 5 countries.

We will also contribute, whatever we can.

Dear Mukesh, none of the society in this world is free from corruption. Even 4 - 5% corruption always lives in any best society. Anyway, we are doing our job and let the corrupt people do their job.

It is right that we cannot stop the nature crush but we can find out the best solution to prevent the people from this kind of awful destructive event. If the weather officer would be alerted to the people of cost area and better safe work would be started in time then casualties may be minimized. The central point of earthquake has in Sumatra and it occurred around 6.00 hour in morning. After that the sea waves has moved forward toward India and Sri Lanka with 500-k/h speeds. It took three hour to reach at India. Weather department has not alerted to the people even if they have got the information of earthquake in Sumatra at time.
In past many time the cost area made blank due to possibilities of earthquake. It is another fact that information never proved truth.
But at this time the information was truth then why they were not alerted to the people at time? What all the specialist and scientist of weather department and sea science department could not guess the effect of earthquake? Why the could not guess that how much India may be effected by the sea waves those have aroused due to earthquake which intensity is 8.9 reactor and that was occurred only 2000 kilometer far from India? If they could not understood then they have no right to remain on their post. All the responsible person should be punished for committed a great human carelessness.

Second fact of worry is that in race of development human disturbed the nature only for their welfare. The balance of nature has completely disturbed at present. The iceberg of glacier and Antarctica is continuously reducing due to global warming. That is why the status of water level in sea is increasing. The hole in ozone layer is also continuously increasing. We have to prevent the nature to be spoiled otherwise many awful attack of nature may be occurred in future also.

Dear Anmol,

When this tragedy happened in Indonesia, it was Sunday 26 December 6.28 A.M. (Indian Standard Time). Here in North America it was 25 December 7.58 P.M.(EST) I came to know around 10.00 pm. on 25 Decemebr, when I was ready to go in the bed. I thought it is in Indonesia, the real figure will come out after one week. Exactly two days ago there was another earthquake hit at richter sacle 8.1 in the occean near Newzealand and Australia. But surprisingly no casualities. It was 420 km away from Newzealand and 500 kms away from Australia.

When I woke up on 26 Decemebr, I found different picture. Sri lanka declared state of emergency. Yesterday it was some 24000 dead but today around 44000. The area around Andaman, Nicobar is a very busy sea route and very busy air route. Some commercial aircraft already provided a message to ATC (Air Traffic Control) Channei that in ATC Nicobar there is some emergency like situation. First of all it may be 3 hours for water waves (Tsunami) to reach that place and then this Tandav (Tsunami hit continuously for 2 hours) . May be after that he radioed the ATC Channei. He may be tried to contact ATC Nicobar, he may get some help help noise or no contact. god knows. Today, 28 December, people have been evacuated from there, still we have no confirm information. They are telling communication have not been established. As on today many people are having satellite telephones. But sorry to say, no communication have been established. The reality is Ram Bharose Gaadi Chal rahi hai. Otherwise you have million of defence personnel. Lots of aircrafts, helicopters. How much time it will take to go for help. You do have STOL (short take off Landing aircraft) they don't need any air strip. They can take off within 400 feets. There are lot of questions? But what is the use?

My condolences to all those who have been affected by this terrible tragedy. What a waste of human life. Many a lives could be saved had an Early Warning system been in place. After all how much time does it take to evacuate people. Such rehearsals are common in US, Japan and other countries that deal with Typhoons on a regular basis.

But to expect corrupt and self serving politicians to devote their time on such issues would be asking for too much.

An example of the callous attitude of our politicians comes to mind. In a very important Civil MIlitary Liaison Meeting held at at Mumbai (held immediately after the Typhoon devastated Gujarat few years back) the Army Commander drew the attention of the Chief MInister (Mr Manohar Joshi) to the fact that Govt of Maharashtra had no 'Disaster Management Plan' in place, not even on paper, and wondered what would have happened had tha typhoon struck Bombay. You know the reply CM gave. He said "The typhoon was actually looking for Bombay but then he found no city by that name because it is now Mumbai". He said this and laughed alone, no one else had understood the joke he was trying to crack.

We can never learn. In two years time this would be recollected as another tragedy. In the name of relief politicians will fill their coffers (they must have already started to plan as to how to gobble up the aid package) and wait for the next disaster to occur.

It seems even God can't make a difference here!!!

Can somebody take initiative and get the special counter (to accept the relief amount) open in every bank branch in India as well as outside. I got shocked when people tried to send money PM relief fund through SBI toronto branch. In the lunch time, he went in the branch and requested to the receptionist, if anybody take money for earthquake relief. Receptionist told there is manager, Madhu Sinha. She may help you. She was on the phone and then said wait outside. Then after sometime she said. Thanks you are sending money to earthquake, we have four customer in line. They will start shouting. You stay in the line. Then fellow came back without remitting money. He said I will not remiit the monet till this lady is here in this branch. Now this kind of thing happened with how many branches. He is sending money free but nobody is taking pain to accept free money. There was only one counter in the branch having almost 35 member staff, doing nothing. Why is this bad management. Can somebody take initiative and get this Manager Madhu Sinha back to bihar or from she came? Let me tell how these posting are being done in banks.
In the past PNB had four branches in foreign. One officer get the transfer order of London. He sold everything and reached the airport, He boarded the airoplane. It was 5 minutes left to fly. His transfer order were cancelled and he had to vacate the aircraft. Some one else would be going to london.
I think she may also looks like that, some approachee. Let us see if somebody get her transfer within fifteen days. I am also taking up the matter with chairman SBI.

Dear Colonel Malik,

You said it right about our politicians. There may be others in chain doing their homework to garner whatever they can from the aid packages sent for victims. Cases of rapes, and child abuses are already being reported from Indonesia. What a shame to mankind.

Dear Suresh Phougat Ji's , well you will find such officials every where. May be she was under pressure of her own work. I feel, there are enough organizations working to send money to India. In case you do not find any place to send money you can send it through North American Jat Charity. You can contact Mr. Ram Arya at NJ, through this website or go to najcharities.com. You are doing a great job, kindly keep it up.

Dear Mr phougat,

All donations can be made online to the PM Relief Fund at the following link;

http://www.sify.com/pmf.php

As far as above incident is concerned, it can be reported to PM office online under the feedback column. Also you can report it online to any Indian daily news paper like hindustantimes.com. Trust me, suitable action would be initiated against her.

Dear Rajender Bhai Sahib and Virendra Bhai Sahib,

Thanks very much!

This is not the question of me. I have all options with me, I can remit anywhere and from everywhere. The question is how these banks ignoring the fund we can get easily. They have almost 35 members staff, can't they open one more counter? My concerned was if we can open one extra counter upto one month in every branch within India and outside.
