This is a time tested and perfact formula for keeping yourself alert.I have applied it on me and results are just fantastic. After any hardwork/exertion,ourbody refuses to obey the brain signals or becomes a little indifferent as limbs get exhausted. In this situation a reverse message is received by the brain from limbs that,"it is not possible to undertake any more physical exercise." hence the brain gives up.This is called,"A state of no consequance." Here the brain finds itself rebuffed and being a boss,it can not compell the limbs any more and thus resigns to the fate for the time being. In this situation, the brain's ego needs to be bolestered by playing with it......may be by watching a movie, reading a book, listening to something pleasent or may be induldging in a dialogue.By doing so,we are able to flatter the mind, thereby making it,"ready to go again."

Let us take the opposite of the above.moment you feel tired mentally,a situation gets created, where in the brain is in a state where it is not ready to exercise control on the body anymore.Signal centre gets shut up and an atmosphere of,"HELL WITH YOU" gets created. This is called a situation of,"DEAD STOP." In this situation of DEAD STOP, mind feels exhausted by pondering and repeatedly thinking about an issue or issues, without a positive result and hence it resigns to fate in utter disgust. In this situation if one plays a game or goes for a long walk or undertakes a physical exercise,it will allow the brain to re-focus itself and inturn,it gets re-equipped to handle the mental worries robustly and appropriatly.

Dear Dahiya Ji,

It is absolutely true. I remember, our teachers used to tell us that a mental entertainment is essential for a person doing physical work while a physical exercise is essential for a person doing mental work for refreshing the body.

Unfortunately, most people don't do it. Most people who work on computers whole day, come back and sit in front of TV, rather than doing some physical work/playing some games.

It was interesting to go over the usefulness of these words and the answer is it is all very logical stuff to consider. Thanks for sharing the information with us. Should be useful stuff to keep in mind when wanting to counter the effects of being either mentally and/or physically drained!
