Dear Friends,

Land holdings are dwindling. There is a limit to which agricultural land can sustain. Time has come when jats should think of services which have not yet taken off in a significant manner in India. Some of the services which have great future for jats are;

1. Ambulance staff: Jat boys with 12th biology and who can not get into medicince and other paramedical subjects and are of good physical health, should explore getting into ambulatory technicians profession. I am sure jats will do a great job here. As far as I know, still there are no courses/ tranings for amulance technicians in India. It will be a great idea to start this course in Rural India and the syllebus can be adopted from some western agency.

2. Election Campaign Management: In western countries the election campaigns are professionally organised. However, in India they still remain ill organised. We have elections of some sort almost round the year. I feel that this can be taken up as a profession. One can set-up professional business company to manage the show. Every aspect of electioneering, starting from filing the papers to publicity, fund raising, election laws etc can be taken care of for the candidate..In my view this has the potential of even an MBA in the subject..

My dear rajendraji,

Idea is indeed worth putting into practice but again a million dollar question........Who will bell the cat and that too ballotta.We lack a strong organisation at rural front[An unrelenting and relentless, purposeful association with a GOAL is the need of the hour]

I have another idea and that is to have a network of young jat boys[unemployed] to run retail outlets in an organised manner in all villages for supplying utility items of general use so that the intermediataries[luteras] can be by-passed and a quick,quality service can reach our people at their door steps.It will not need a high budget too.This i feel is practicable and within our reach....................???????

Dear Mr Dahiya,

We all have to do our share of responsibily depending upon our individual conviction. Money alone can not address these problems. people of some conviction have to physically locate themselves in their villages. I would be quiting my job in UK and would be certainly moving back to my village by neaxt year end. I would experiment with as many ideas of mine as possible. I have lived life as I fancied and have no regrets whatsoever. Moving back to my village and doing something concrete on the ground is my latest fantasy. Even from UK I have been travelling to India almost every three months and therefore maintain very good contact with my roots. Let us see how things move further..
