I have come across some links that provide historical map of India during various time in its history. I cannot verify whether they convey the right information or not but still are very insightful. I am posting it simultaneously on JatHistory group as well.

Three such links that will be useful from Jat History perspective are provided below with a brief description.

i) Map of Kushan empire at 150A.D. One version of Jat History inexplicably links Kushans to Jats, that is why this is the first map. It clearly shows its roots in central Asia and also comprises of ancient Haryana. In fact its reach is all the way upto Varanasi.

ii) The second link shows the extant of Raja Harshvardhan Virk's empire. In mordern terms its extant included the parts of present state Punjab, Himachal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa in addition to whole of present Haryana, UP, Utrranchal, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bangladesh.

You can clearly make out the centrality of Kannuaj at that time, which was his capital. Note that the name of five rivers in Punjab is not what it is now till this time. River Indus is still labelled as Sindhu (a Jat gotra).

iii) Lastly, the long windy invastion of Timur where he faced the army of Haryana Sarvkhap and had to return, never to come back. As well documented in Jat history books by Dr. Dahiya and Capt. Ahlawat, Haryana Sarvkhap army never let him enter Haridwar and he was chased beyond Ambala and Sutlej, basically beyond the boundary of ancient Haryana.
