Sardar Har Lal Singh was a freedom fighter, social worker that played a leading role in Shekhawati farmers’ movement for abolition of Jagirdari system. He was born in 1901 at village Mandasi of Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan. His entire family was committed for the freedom movement.
Sardar Har Lal Singh was evicted from his agricultural land and residence by the Jagirdars for his acts of taking part in the Jagirdari abolition movement. Jagirdars lodged a number of false cases against him but he was always succeeded in getting rid of them. The Mandawa thakur attacked him in 1946 in a planned conspiracy. In this a person was murdered and Har Lal’s brother received serious injuries in head. All attempts by the Jagirdars could not refrain him from freedom movement and he continued to lead the farmers and served the farmers through Kisan Sabha and Praja Manda.
Pushkar adhiveshan 1925
Pushkar adhiveshan 1925 organized by All India Jat Mahasabha was presided over by Maharaja Kishan Singh of Bharatpur. Sir Chhotu Ram, Madan Mohan Malviya, Chhajju Ram etc. farmer leaders had also attended. This function was organized with the initiative of Master Bhajan Lal Bijarnia of Ajmer - Merwara. The farmers from all parts of Shekhawati had come namely, Chaudhary Govind Ram, Kunwar Panne Singh Deorod, Ram Singh Bakhtawarpura, Chetram Bhadarwasi, Bhuda Ram Sangasi, and Moti Ram Kotri. 24-year young boy Har Lal Singh also attended it. The Shekhawati farmers took two oaths in Pushkar namely, 1. They would work for the development of the society through elimination of social evils and spreading of education. 2. ‘Do or Die’ in the matters of exploitation of farmers by the Jagirdars.
Jhunjhunu adhiveshan 1932
There was a grand gathering of farmers under the banner of Jat Mahasabha in Jhunjhunu on 11-13 February 1932. 60000 Jat farmers attended it. Thakur Deshraj camped at Jhunjhunu for 15 days to make it a success. The farmers from all parts of India attended it. It was presided by Rao Sahib Chaudhary Rishal Singh Rayees, who was escorted from station to the place of meeting on elephant accompanied by a caravan of camels. This program was of Jats but all the communities cooperated and welcomed. Kunwar Panne Singh Deorod welcomed this rally where as Vidyadhar Singh Sangasi did the welcome of ‘Jaipur Prantiya Jat Kshatriya Sabha’ rallies. Though the Jagirdars did all attempts to make it a failure, but it proved a success. On the appeal of fund collection the participant farmers donated their gold ornaments, which they were wearing. This was the first opportunity of awakening the Shekhawati farmers and proved a grand success. Sardar Harlal Singh and Chaudhary Ghasi Ram had traveled a lot for its publicity and spread its message. Some of the competent people were awarded Kshatriya titles. For example Chaudhary Har Lal Singh was awarded as ‘Sardar’, Ratan Singh of Bharatpur as ‘Kunwar’ and Chaudhary Ram Singh as ‘Thakur’. Thus the Rajput monopoly over these titles vanished.
The Jat Prajapati Maha-Yagya 1934
In 1934, to spread the principles of Arya Samaj and create awakening in Shekhawati, it was decided to hold the Prajapati Yagya (Prayer ceremony for the Lord of Universe). The Jat Prajapati Maha-Yagya was organized at Sikar from 20 - 29 January 1934. Kunwar Hukam Singh Rahees Angai (Mathura) was made Yagyapati or Chairman of the Yagya. He had been Chairman of the Arya Prathinidhi Sabha, Uttar Pradesh province and All Arya Prathinidhi Sabha, Delhi, for many years. Chaudhary Kaluram of village Kudan was the Yagyaman. Acharya Shri Jagdev Sidhanthi received an invitation for this Yagya at his Gurukul at Kirttal, In that invitation was he requested to attend the Yagya and bring twenty Bhramcharis and disciples with him. Volunteers went to all the households in all the villages in the region and collected material that would be needed. They collected Ghee, Flour, Gur, and invited all the householders to participate. Hundreds of cans of Ghee and hundreds of sacks of flour were collected.
During the Yagya 3000 men and women adopted the Yogyopavit, which was a symbol Kisan sangathan. Sheetal Kumari daughter of Kunwar Netram Singh adopted yagyopavit. Chaudhary Chimana Ram of Sangasi brought his wife wearing salwar-kurta. The unity of Jat farmers had terrified the Jagirdars of Sikar. The role played by Sardar Har Lal Singh and Thakur Deshraj was unparallel which made this yagya a grand success.
A family committed for freedom
Jagirdars imprisoned Sardar Har Lal Singh in 1938 for one year in two cases against him. During this period his mother Foolan Devi and wife Ramkauri took his place so that the movement is not adversely affected. They took a group of women in year 1939 and reached Jaipur for satyagrah. Both were arrested and put in Jail. Ramkauri had his 6-month-old son with her who was also kept in Jail. His mother Foolan Devi was released from Jail only after when she was seriously ill. Seth Jamana Lal Bajaj and Hira Lal Shastri tried their best to take her to Jaipur for treatment but she refused to leave his village. His wife Ramkauri Devi was also active and took part in all the movements, rallies, gatherings etc for the freedom from 1930 - 1947. Her role in the awakening of women in Jhunjhunu district was unique.
The Praja Mandal
The Praja Mandal leaders also took keen interest in rural peasant affairs and held several of their sessions in rural area towns. The peasant leaders utilized the Praja Mandal as a valuable channel of access to the larger body of political protest and held important positions in it. Sardar Har Lal Singh became the President of Praja Mandal. Others included Chowdhary Kisan Singh and Chowdhary Ishwar Singh. This movement got support from famous Kisan leaders like, Sir Chhotu Ram, Baldev Ram Mirdha, Nathuram Mirdha and Chaudhary Kumbha Ram Arya. After a long struggle the farmers got rid of oppression and got the ownership rights over the land they were cultivating.
After independence also he served the farmers through Congress Party. Harlal Singh later on also became first RPCC chairman.

Thanks Dharmpalji for your valuable inputs,
I do not have your book Kargil to France with me so I am not able to get inputs from it. My objective is that we should be able to get info about any person on a single click on internet. I got info from one of your articles in Jatbandhu that Richhpal Ram is Lamba jat from Barda village in Haryana. From there I could get that on internet search all info about him is available on internet. But if we simply search Richhpal Ram we get 16 websites but we can not make out from that info if he is Jat and Lamba is no where mentioned.
Similarly you search Risaldar Badlu Ram you find info on 40 websites but you can not make out if he is Jat.
My request is that these informations should be brought out on Jat sites at least. All can not have access to the printed books. Wikimedia is best searchable media on internet. So I try to put these on Wikipedia and Jatland Wiki. There is a scope for editing Wiki so one can correct these if some error is there. I request to put more and more data about Jats who have contributed significantly to the society. Jats can feel proud of them !!!!

Maharani Kishori was the wife of Jat Maharaja Suraj Mal of Bharatpur in Rajasthan, India. She belonged to place called Hodal, a town situated in Faridabad district of Haryana on National Highway No.2, near Mathura and Bharatpur. Maharani Kishori was the daughter of one Chaudhary Kashi Ram Sorot.
Early history
Kishori Devi was the daughter of one Chaudhary Kashi Ram Sorot. Legend has is that one day Maharaja Suraj Mal was passing Hodal on his stately elephant when he noticed an unusual incident. An agitated bull was frightening everyone and roaming angrily when Kishori Devi, along with her friends, was returning from a well with pitchers on her head. She put her toe on the loose bridle and restrained the bull. Kishori was a brave, stout and beautiful young maiden. Suraj Mal was greatly impressed and after some time sent his purohit with the marriage proposal. Her father is said to have agreed to the relationship but wished that his status was at par with that of the reputed Raja. Upon hearing this, Maharaja Suraj Mal granted him the title of Chaudhary with the authority to collect revenue from the parganah of Hodal. The marriage was solemnised sometime around 1730.
According to the poet Sudan Maharaja Suraj Mal married with Maharani Kishori on 21 March 1750 (falgun sudi pandrah). Chaudhary Kashi Ram Sorot had two more sons in addition to Kishori who were Buj Lal and Guman Singh. Maharaja Suraj Mal appointed Kashi Ram as manager of village Tawdu (Parganah Nooh) and this way through the marriage with Maharani Kishori he strengthened his position in Mewat.
Some historians, like KR Qanungo, Yadunath Sarkar, Dr Ranjit Singh and Upendranath Sharma mention that Maharani Kishori and Hansia were not different. Hansia was the name Maharani Kishori herself. The poetry of the poet Sudan also says so. But Thakur Ganga Singh and Kunwar Natwar Singh treat Kishori and Hansia as separate queens of Maharaja Suraj Mal. Maharaja Suraj Mal liked Maharani Kishori the most. He constructed Maharani Kishori Mahal within the Lohagarh Fort. He also constructed Maharani Kishori temple at Brindavan and Maharani Kishori Khas Mahal at Goverdahan.
A patron to the Bharatpur state
Maharani Kishori had played an important role in running the administration of Bharatpur state. Maharaja Suraj Mal always consulted her on the important matters of the state. She played the role of patron to the Bharatpur state for three generations even after death of Maharaja Suraj Mal.
Diplomatic efforts of Maharani Kishori
The Marathas had attacked Kumher Fort on 20 January 1754 AD. They besieged the Kumher Fort till 18 May 1754. The war continued for about four months. During the war Khande Rao Holkar, son of Malhar Rao, was one day inspecting his army in an open palanquin, when he was fired from in side the fort and a cannonball hit him and he was killed. Malhar Rao got very angry on the death of his only son and wanted to take revenge and vowed that he would cut off the head of Maharaja Suraj Mal and throw the soil of fort into Yamuna after destroying it. Marathas increased the pressure and Suraj Mal defended peacefully. Suraj Mal was alone and no other ruler was ready to help him. At this moment Maharaja Suraj Mal counseled Maharani Kishori, who assured him not to worry and started the diplomatic efforts. She contacted Diwan Roop Ram Katara. She knew that there is a strong enmity between Malhar Rao Holkar and Jayappa Sindhia and that Jayappa Sindhia was very firm in determinations. She advised Maharaja Suraj Mal to take advantage of mutual differences within Marathas. Diwan Roop Ram Katara was a friend of Jayappa Sindhia. She requested Diwan Roop Ram Katara to take letter of Maharaja Suraj Mal with a proposal of a treaty. Jayappa Sindhia assured to assist and contacted Raghunath Rao. Raghunath Rao in turn advised Holkar for treaty with Suraj Mal. Malhar Rao Holkar assessed the situation and consented for treaty due to fear of isolation and severe war. This led to a treaty between both rulers on 18 May 1754. This treaty proved very beneficial for Maharaja Suraj Mal.
The Pushkar bath by Maharani Kishori
Maharani Kishori, wife of Maharaja Suraj Mal, who had adopted Jawahar Singh, was adept at political intrigues. She was pained to see that Jawahar Singh was not adopting a favourable policy towards the members of the family and the nobles. She knew that only keeping him engaged in warfare could control him. She also knew that the Rajputs could never tolerate this abrupt rise of Jat rule and would always resist the latter's efforts to gain power. The solution for both the problems lay in war.
Maharani Kishori epressed her desire to her proud son that she wanted to go for a sacred bath at Pushkar. Jawahar Singh pointed out that Pushkar was situated in the territory of his eternal and deadly foe, Raja Madho Singh, who would not tolerate her arrival at Pushkar with a large retinue, and advised her that if at all she were keen to go for Pushkar bath, she would go with only a few followers and Rupa Ram the Purohit.
The Rani retorted by saying that she was the mother of Jawahar Singh, and the Rani of Maharaja Suraj Mal and taking a bath like Marwari women would hurt her pride, and that she would like to take her bath along with the Rajput Ranis there.
She would also like to give away alms surpassing the Rajput Ranis. She said, she did not understand why the Jats should be afraid of the Rajputs any longer. Jawahar Singh knew well that this would lead to warfare and bloodshed.
Jawahar Singh marched to Pushkar with 60,000 Cavalry, 1 lakh Infantry and 200 guns. With fluttering banners and beating drums they entered Jaipur territory and set up a impressive camp in the Sandy plains of Pushkar.
Maharani Kishori was weighed in gold, which was given in charity. The other Ranis who had come on this occasion felt humiliated because they were not in a position to match the charity of Maharani Kishori. The Rajput vanity was hurt.
When Marathas were defeated in the Third Battle of Panipat and a total of hundred thousand Maratha survivors while returning to south reached Suraj Mal’s territory sans arms, sans clothes and sans food, Maharani Kishori along with Maharaja Suraj Mal received them with tender warmth and hospitality, giving free rations to every Maratha solder or camp follower. The wounded were taken care of till they were fit to travel. This is an example of her strong nationality and love for people.

Has anyone mentioned Lt Gen RS Kadian (retd) in the list ??
Gen Kadian belongs to Beri tehsil and was the Vice Chief of Army when he retd. He was also the 'Colonel Of The Regiment of The Rajputana Rifles'. I'm not sure but I doubt any Jat officer has gone upto this level in any of the forces.
Request Col Virendra to add some lines and details on Gen Kadyan.

Swami Gopal Das (स्वामी गोपाल दास) (1822-1936)was a social worker, educationist and freedom fighter from Churu in Rajasthan state in India.
Childhood
He was born in 1822 in village Bhainrusar situated at a distance of 22 km in north of Churu town in Rajasthan in the family of Chaudhary Binja Ram Kaswan and Smt Nauji Devi. He lost his father in childhood. There was no source of livelihood for her so his mother Nauja Devi came to Churu with Gopal and started his care by doing some labour work.
Came to Churu
Mahant Mukund Das of ‘Chhote temple’ in Churu provided some support to her mother. Nauja Devi handed over child Gopal to Mahant Mukund Das, who was impressed by the intelligence of child and sent him to a school run by Pandit Kanhaya Lal Dhandh. Sharp and intelligent Gopal Das learnt the lesson of humanity from guru and obtained knowledge of Ayurvedic treatment. Looking to talents of Gopal, Mahant Mukund Das declared him his disciple. After death of Mahant Mukund Das, the 19-year Gopal was made the mahanta of Nimbarka sampradaya in his place and became Swami Gopal Das. The personality of Swami Gopal Das was very impressive. He was tall, handsome with well built physique and broad headed wearing khadi dhoti-kurta and turban.
Committed to the welfare of cows
He was all his life committed to the welfare of cow as he considered cow to be an essential part of Indian life and culture. Cows used to suffer maximum during the famine years when Gopal Das arranged fodder and water for cows. There was a ‘pinjarapol’ (goshala) in Churu, which was at the verge of closure due to insufficient funds. Gopal Das started a fair on ‘gopashtami’ at this ‘pinjarapol’ and gave new life to it. The fair is still organized every year.
An environmentalist
He took large chunks of wasteland from the rich Seths of Churu and developed these as pasturelands for the grazing of cows and did extensive plantations. These pasturelands and plantations not only saved the cows but also stopped the expansion of desert. The nearby villagers also got motivated from these works and developed pasturelands in their villages.
Love for tree plantation was there in Swamis from childhood. This becomes clear from his letter written from Sardarshar to Shri Gigdas to take care of Pipal tree planted by him. It was his efforts that covered the deserted sand dunes with trees. The big trees on both sides of the road from railway station to present Ram temple in Churu town are the result of his hard work and irrigation provided to these trees carrying water over his head.
Social Services
Swami Gopal Das was a committed social worker. In 1917-18 Churu was infected by epidemic of plague and malaria. People died in large number. Rest of the people started running out leaving the weak and ill people behind. The town was deserted. The left out people started dying due to no care. There were no people left to even lift the dead persons. At this juncture Swami Gopal Das came to help the left out people by providing food, water and medicines and arranged to lift dead persons for cremation. It became difficult to move around on foot to look after the people so he took a horse and started taking round of the town. The famous poet from Churu Pandit Amolak Chand has written following poetry on the services of Swami Gopal Das in Rajasthani language as under:
"चूरु शहर में सोर भयो, जद जोर करयो पलेग महामारी ।
लाश पड़ी घर के अन्दर ढक छोड़ चले बंद किवाड़ी ।।
आवत है गोपाल अश्व चढ देखत जहाँ बीमार पड्यो है ।
देत दवा वो दया करके नाथ, अनाथ को नाथ खड्यो है ।।"
The epidemic was so severe that Post and Telegraph services collapsed. Swami Gopal Das arranged the delivery of letters and telegrams to the concerned people. His knowledge of Ayurveda proved a boon at this crisis. With his initiatives and efforts the Ayurveda Vidyapith centers started functioning in Churu.
Public awakening
The social services by Swami Gopal Das were multi dimensional. The Churu area prior to independence was suffering from illiteracy, poverty, famines, and lack of medical facilities. The people were exploited not only by British Raj but also by local Jagirdars. To talk about independence or read a new paper in those days was considered a disloyalty to the crown. Under such circumstances Swami Gopal Das started ‘sarvahitkarini sabha’ in 1907. The objectives of the sabha were: satya, ahinsa, asteya and brahmcharya. For the first three years he was chairman of the sabha and thereafter minister. The Jagirdars were not happy with the foundation of ‘sarvahitkarini sabha’ as a result he faced lot of opposition. There was no building of ‘sarvahitkarini sabha’. So he vowed that he would not take food till the sabha has its own building. He collected money from various sources for the building of the sabha and survived on fruits only till seven-storied building was ready for the sabha.
He took number of steps to improve the conditions of downtrodden people. To remove untouchability from society, he started ‘Kabir pathshala’.
Woman education
Swami Gopal Das believed that woman’s education was a first step in the development of society and nation. To spread woman education, first of all, he started a ‘sarvahitkaruni putri pathshala’. This institute provided free textbooks to women and also trained them in sewing – weaving so that they can get earnings. This institute provided education to widows also to improve their condition. Later the branches of ‘putri pathshalas’ were started in neighbouring villages and towns. Taranagar putri pathshala was run by Churu sabha itself.
These initiatives taken by Swami Gopal Das in Rajasthan at a time when even Mahatma Gandhi was not on seen are considered revolutionary. ‘Putri pathshala’ and ‘Kabir pathshala’ were considered antireligious activities at that time. On the establishment of putri pathshala, the backward and conservative public had done stone throwing on Swami Gopal Das, but he moved with firmness and was successful in his mission. Swami Gopal Das raised a voice for compulsory education in Bikaner princely state. The ‘sarvahitakarini sabha’ in his guidance run a number of libraries, ‘putripathshala’, ‘Kabir pathshala’, ‘uddyog vardhini sabha’, aturalaya and mahilashrama. In addition there were number of constructive activities like shilpshala, sevasadan, anathalaya, goshala etc.
To eradicate social evils sarvahitakarini sabha also took steps like ban on child marriages and old age marriages, ban on use of toxic materials, spread of Hindi and Sanskrit languages etc. Swami Gopal Das through, sarvahitakarini sabha, also took steps to construct wells, kundas, johars, ponds and renovate old wells and ponds. The works done by sarvahitakarini sabha during famines and epidemics are a landmark in the history of Churu.
The rich Seths of area were very influenced by the honesty and sincerity of Swami Gopal Das. They were ready to provide finances through him. The public park ‘Indramani Park’ in Churu was established through his efforts. Industrialist J.K.Birla on the initiatives of Swami Gopal Das established the ‘Dharmastupa’ in Churu. The statues of Krishna, Mahavira and Buddha on this stupa indicate the faith in all religions. Sarvahitakarini sabha did not differentiate between Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Baudh and Jain.
Freedom fighter
Swami Gopal Das started freedom movement in Churu. He wrote series of articles in magazines on the eradication of social evils and demand for freedom. He invited the national leaders of freedom movement and arranged their lectures in Churu. He started placing photographs of Tilak and Gandhi in public conferences and preached use of swadeshi things. The movement of Swami Gopal Das frightened the princely ruler of Bikaner, who lodged a case of rajadroha against him in 1932 and arrested. He was kept in Bikaner Central Jail for three years. Due to his active involvement in the freedom movement he was elected member of Provincial Congress Committee.
Born in a poor family he had become so revered that the millionaires touched his feet. He was busy throughout his life in the service of the public with no self interest. He died in month of magha on the banks of river Ganga in 1936.

Hira Singh Chahar (हीरासिंह चाहर) (1901-1993) was a social reformer, folk-singer and freedom fighter from village Paharsar in Churu district in Rajasthan. He was born on 17 January 1901 in the family of Laxman Ram Chahar. He joined Arya Samaj at the age of fourteen and spread the doctrine of Arya Samaj in remote villages of Rajasthan. He started a campaign to remove social evils from the society through folk-songs. His poems played a wonderful role in awakening the Jats. He devoted all his life for the betterment of Jat community.
He strongly opposed the exploitation of farmers by the Jagirdars. He was expelled from Churu by Ganga Singh of Bikaner. He joined the freedom movement in Marwar under the leadership of Baldev Ram Mirdha and started working under the banner of Kisansabha. He organized a kisansabha in Dabra village on 13 March 1947. The jagirdar threatened that if Dabra kisansabha is organized, Hira Singh will not remain alive. Irrespective of threats the kisansabha started, the jagirdar created problems and there was a struggle between both in which Hira Singh was injured.
He died on 30 June 1993.

Lakshman ji's brother Jat Ram was no impearialist/chakravarti. He handed over his Ayodhya to Bharat, Mathura to Shatrughna, Lanka to Vibhishana, his horse was kidnapped by his own son Kush, while performing Aswamedh Yagna. Similar to his Aswamedh Messa Getae used to perform Horse Sacrifice in Persia/Central Asia, However thats what Herodotus says, in my opinion there also it was like Rama's Aswmedh and not a sacrifice. Messa Getae were also Sun worshippers like Rama was Surya Vanshi. However, Rama's got was Kakran. His dynasty is known as Kakutsth Dynasty after Maharaja Kakutsth which is Sanskritised form of Kak/Kakran. Sita was born from earth means ploughing field and Maharaja Janak had golden plough. Rama was liked not only by human beings but all animals and living beings because he wanted to put an end to non-vegetarian food where Jangli Rakshas were fond of it. He was born in the age of 16 Mahajanapadas. We see here Kausal and Kaikaye etc. as one of these 16 majanapadas. After the advent of iron it became easier for Jats to spread towards east from their present and original land that stretches from Indus in the west and Ganga and Chambal in the east. Due to scanty rainfall here in this land copper was enough to clear its jungles. Hence, Mahabharata is a copper/bronze age civilisation like Indus valley civilization. Rainfall gradually increases towards east alnog Ganges river becoming maximum in the world at Chirapunji. Also Ganges drains more water than Yamana and catchment area of Ganges is 25% of whole India. Situation was ripe therefore for more agricultural production. Which supplied surplus food to maintain huge armies giving rise to great empires like that of Ajat Satru, Nandas, Mauryas etc., all Jats. What distinguishes Rama from them is his zeal to spread agriculture in the benefit of all living beings and he had no lust for power. He simply wanted to spread agriculture with Jat culture. Hence, he burnt the forests, for clearing the land for agriculture. The yagna that time was not the same as it is there a symbolic yagna in Arya Samaj. That time it used to be a huge yajna to burn the forests for clearing them to agriculture. While lesson from Mahabharta is "Kingship knows no Kinship" but Rama tried to spread and compact family system. Jats have till today the biggest families and kins in the village of 100s and 1000s years old.
He is one of the most famous Jat people.

Mansukh Ranwa is the first author who has first time published history of freedom fighter Lothoo in the form of a book- “Amar Shaheed Lothoo Jat’’ (अमर शहीद लोटू जाट) in Hindi in year 2000. Otherwise it was only through the Bhopas that folk songs of Lothoo were sung in Rajasthan. Most of the facts about Lothoo were known to only local public from the ‘phad’, which Bhopa community read loudly in public places as folk songs with the story depicted on canvas. The role of Lothoo has not been properly assessed in the history of first freedom movement of India. The efforts of Mansukh Ranwa in writing a research book on such a great freedom fighter, whose history and achievements were lost in the dark, are worth praising. Dr Gyan Prakash Pilania has written forward of this book.
Kshatriya Shiromani Vir Tejaji (क्षत्रिय शिरोमणि वीर तेजाजी)
Kshatriya Shiromani Vir Tejaji (क्षत्रिय शिरोमणि वीर तेजाजी) in Hindi is his second research book published in 2001 on Vir Tejaji, who is considered to be folk-deity and worshiped in entire Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh by all communities. Tejaji was a great warrior born in the family of Dhaulya gotra Jats. His father was Chaudhary Taharji (Thirraj), a chieftain of Khirnal (Kharnal) in Nagaur district in Rajasthan. Author has included facts in the book about nagavansh, to which Tejaji belonged, who had been rulers in the desert region of Rajasthan for centuries and whose history is lost in the dark. He has documented facts about Tejaji, prevalent in folk-songs, life and culture of local people in the form of this book.

Tejaji is alive in the Jats of Rajasthan through folk-songs from last ten centuries. From the folk-songs as given above and all other historical sources it is clear that Tejaji was born in Dhaulya gotra Jat family of Taharji in Kharnal village in Nagaur district of Rajasthan. He was married in Jhanjhar gotra Jat family of Rai Mal of Paner in present Ajmer district. He was the first recorded warrior and saint in Rajasthan, who fought against the social evils and worked for social reforms.
Genealogy of Tejaji
The Genealogy of Tejaji is as under: The primeval man of their ancestry was Mahābal, whose descendants were Bhīmsen, Pīlapunjar, Sārangdev, Shaktipāl, Rāmpāl, Dhawalpāl, Nayanpāl, Gharṣanpāl, Takkapāl, Mūlsen, Ratansen, Śuṇḍal, Kuṇḍal, Pippal, Udayarāj, Narpāl, Kāmrāj, Vohitrāj and Ṭhirarāj or Taharji. Taharji had six sons namely - Tejaji, Raṇaji, Guṇaji, Maheshji, Nagji, and Rūpji. He had two daughters namely - Rājal and Dūngari. Rājal was married. Rājal was married to Jogaji Siyag of village Tabījī (तबीजी). Rājal is unique example in history of a sister who had become sati with his brother Tejaji.
I searched on Internet and found that some sites are showing Tejaji as Rajput warrior. Here is one site -
http://www.tripsintoindia.com/martin6.htm
"The temple was dedicated to Vir Tejaji who is depicted as a Rajput, mustached and beturbaned, mounted on a horse; and here's the fascinating part, holding a serpent in front of his face and apparently kissing it. According to the legend, dacoits or bandits had rustled his father-in-law's cows and Tejaji went off in pursuit of them. On the way, he encountered a snake who tried to bite him. Tejaji pleaded with the serpent to allow him to complete his mission of recovering the cows and promised that he would present himself before the snake after having done so. The snake agreed. When Tejaji returned, victorious but bloodied all over from his encounter with the rustlers, the snake refused to bite him anywhere he had been wounded, which was everywhere on his body except for his tongue, and it was there that the snake mortally wounded him."
Here is another site which seems to be official site of NIC about Nagaur
http://nagaur.nic.in/tourism.htm
This site shows Tejaji as son of Dhawal Khichi of the Choudhan ruler.
"Kharnal - It is situated on the Nagaur-Jodhpur National Highway near about 15 kms from Nagaur. It is the birth place of Lok Devta Veer Tejaji. It is believed that Kharnal was established by Dhawal Khichi who was in the 5th generation of the Choudhan ruler Gundal Rao Khichi of Jayal state. It is believed that Veer Tejaji was the son of Dhawal Khichi".
Will somebody take the corrective actions at proper platform??
Regards,
cooljat

NK Khote,
couldn't make anything out of it.
Please read Oak. Taj Mahal was Tejo mahal. The marble was obtained from Makrana mines. Please read mahabharat/indus/Aryan etc. there is no Iron over there. Its all copper/bronze. Please read Nandas armies, the Nandal Jats n subsequently the Mauryas. How could have they captured such a vast land to reach upto Lanka like Rama because Iron was invented by Jats by that time and the concept of Yagna means burning forests was properly implimented. Rama spread agriculture with Jat/Got culture. He was born in the age of 16 mahajanapadas. Where kosal/kekaye etc. were there.

Also, please read where from and when tobacco, sugarcane, potato, chukandar, camel, horse, haldi, neem (flora and fauna) etc. came to india or went from here?
India keeps importing and exporting the same goods till today as it used to do thousands of years back. like export of spices, textiles, man power etc. and import of gold, horses, invaders etc.

Tara Chand Saharan (ताराचन्द सहारण) (born 6 June 1913, death 12 March 1958) was an Indian Police Service officer from Hanumangarh district in Rajasthan. He was born in a poor family in village Makkasar in Hanumangarh district. His father Keshoram Saharan had died prior to his birth. When child became of 5 years, one famous social worker of the area named Sant Swami Mansanath took away him from his mother and got admitted in a newly opened school in Sangaria.
Education
He could complete his fourth class with great difficulty but there was no money for studying further. His bhabhi (brother’s wife) was kind enough to help him in fifth class by offering two and half rupees for purchase of books. Next year he worked on a canal digging soil and got money for his school expenditure. Third year fortunately he got a scholarship from Birla-house and completed his middle school. His further regular studies were not possible due to poor financial conditions. So he completed high school as a private student from Punjab Education Board.
Career
In 1930 he joined service in Jodhpur state as a sepoy in Sardar Infantry, but left this job due to unfavourable conditions. Later in 1935 he joined Bikaner state police. He was directly appointed as a sub-Inspector due to his talents. In 1944 he was promoted to rank on Inspector and promoted as Dy.S.P. in 1947. He became S.P. in 1951. He was awarded IPS in 1957. He was a dead-honest officer. When he died there was a saving of only Rs. 139 in his account. He spent most of his savings in helping poor and needy students.
Marriage
After Tara Chand got job, there were number of offers of marriage. There were proposals of dowry as well. Meanwhile a social worker and educationist from the area named Chaudhary Harish Chandra Vakil sent a proposal of marriage with his elder brother’s daughter as per strict Arya Samaji system without any dowry. Tara Chand readily accepted this offer and married without taking any dowry.
Achievements
After independence there were Hindi-Muslim tensions. It so happened that The Maharaja of Bikaner wanted to bring two Hindu Sindhi lady doctors from Bahawalpur in Pakistan, so he asked for a brave police officer. It was a very tough and risky job. Tara Chand opted to go there with his team. The Muslim crowd when saw the Indian Police in Bahawalpur, they first attacked the police but when came to know that it was led by Tara Chand they became soft and courteous. They had so much of faith in the honesty and sincerity of Tara Chand that they not only sent the two lady doctors with him but also offered them a great welcome dinner. They all came to boarder to see them off. This was the result of his good reputation.
He was generally posted in dacoit affected areas. In 1953 he suited a dacoit Shivnath for which he was awarded “Indian Police Gallantry award” in 1954. Pali district was badly affected by dacoit menace during those days. In 1954 he traveled 400 miles on foot in the remote areas in search of dacoits and spent 200 days continuously out of his house. The state Home Minister on 23 January 1958 called meeting of police officers regarding eradication of gang of dacoit Kalyan Singh. Tara Chand assured the minister that either he will catch the dacoit or he will dye. The dacoits were very afraid of Tara Chand. It was first event in the history of police in India that Tara Chand IPS and SP Jodhpur was martyred in encounter with dacoit Kalyan Singh after eradicating the gang of Kalyan Singh on 12 March 1958. He was awarded posthumously the “President Police and Fire Medal for Gallantry” on 2 October 1959. He had received 81 appreciation letters from his seniors during his service.

He wrote his books in a typical style like Swami Dayanada, means easy to explain and easy to understand. All those who studied his book qualified for IAS in IIT. All remaining who studied foreign authors etc. failed. In fact Prof. Bharat Singh and Prof. Alam Singh were only authors in soil mechanics.
