I think there is a difference beween a punjabi jat and a sikh jat. I know at least 2-3 haryanvi jats whose wives are from Punjab and the marraiges were arranged. Even marriage between sikh and hindu jats should be acceptable. As a matter of fact marriage is so personal a matter that it should better be left to the discretion of the individuals. Aren't our youth marrying B'deshi girls ?

A JAT can marry whom so ever he wants to, anytime and anywhere.....

There are no hard and fast rules except that he should try and avoid his own Gotra.

I see no problem with Jats who are Sikh marrying into Jat Hindu families.

Infact Sardar Jai Singh Sandhu of Kanheiya misl married his granddaughters to the ruling Ahir family of Rewari. (from which Rao Tula Ram came from).

Why this discrimination against girls ? I think we should treat the girls at par and rise above the double standards.

Sir i want to quote from the thread -How jat girls think of jat boys -post no 13 by Sh Rajendra Kumar as under.
I know for sure that none of the jat parents like their daughters marrying non jats, but hardly have any choice when things go out of hands. Its a great loss to to the community loosing educated girls to outsiders...as most of the time its the educated ones who are lost....

thank u all for ur overwhelming resonses,i am glad.

the thing i am want to highlight is that we have no reservations against marrying a punjabi jat but is it same from otherside(since they practice different religion and customs).you guys r saying that jat can marry any jat,no matter if they r punjabis or hindus but then there r muslim jats aswell and i bet no one would make an allience with them.

bring ur thought together.

Yes, current foreign minister's wife is from royal family of Patial but she is not jat.It is marriage with in Royal family to royal family.Ofourse they are sikh.

Simranjit singh maan, president of SAD (amritsar) is also married in Foreign minister family. He is Sikh jat.
All are are indivisual choices
