India cancer lady doctor wins Ramon Magsaysay award

I wish to share one good news with you all about Dr V. Shanta, Director Adyar Cancer Centre, Chennai winning presitigious Ramon Magsaysay award.

Dr Shanta and her mentor Dr Krishnamoorthy have dedicated whole their lives in the service of poor cancer patients. Just to share more abot these two persons, Adyar Cancer hospital was started by the Mother of Dr Krishnamurthy who was the first MBBS woman of India. She later on became MLC also and was a great social worker. Interestingly the shooting of famous film " Dil Ek Mandir" was done in Adyar Cancer hospital.
