Can you decide on the date and the venue? I don't think people will respond unless they know the venue and the date. I think the Diwali is on 1st which is a Tuesday. So I presume you would like the get together to be on the precding Sunday.

Dear Ms. Priti,

I have been reading your posts and it looks to me that you are a committed community member who want to interact when ever and where ever an opportunity arrives. Toronto people join the NE Chapter of AJA and many of them do attend our annual picnic and Diwali Function. We would be holding our Diwali Function on 5th November in NJ, which is a Saturday. We have rented a bigger hall, as we had more members last year and our traditional hall looked small to accomodate nearly 200 members. We had a lots of fun and interaction followed by the traditional Vegetarian Indian Food. The function starts with Laxmi Pooja.

Kindly see your schedule, and try and make it to our function. It will be a great pleasure for us to see our young people joining commuity functions. At the same time you would also get an opportunity to meet the maximum community members from the NE specially from the Tristate Area.

If you decide to attend this function, kindly email me at my private email veerutav@optonline.net Give me your mailing address in Canada or Contact # or both so that we can email, mail and send you verbal invitation. We use all the three methods to contact our members.

I am amazed that no one seems to be interested in a get together in the UK. I am sure there are quite a few of us in the UK.

but guys dont feel discouraged....am sure that the UK jats are either not visiting the website frequently or have missed this thread...

what about the senior people in the UK...am sure they know a lot of jat families here....any suggestions?

Tewatiaji se to meri baat ho gayi.....dont have a US visa...will see if i can get one in Canada...hard chance though considering I'm just a visitor there.

Any clue what Canadian jats are doing on diwali....just in case i miss both UK and US :o

I am not sure how many would turn up eventually, but I will be present in the get together. I think it is time you decide on a date and let everyone know about it. Let us make it happen this time.
Come on Jats in UK, let us help Rajpal succeed in his attempt. He has been trying to organise a get together for more than a year now. We should support him in his endeavour. It would also provide an opportunity to meet each other. I understand most of us are busy with something or the other, but then one can spare a day on an auspicious occasion such as Diwali.
