Hello All,
I would like to request all Jat's , that when we talk on any topic in this forum must present them selves as jat not Hariyanavi or any state.
Because we should represent Jat's only first later any state.
My one of friend is from Maharshtra and is Jat.when I suggest him to go on Jat land, and he comment about the site, that this is not the Jat site it looks like Only hariyanavi site?
Its really heart if we cant creat Jat feeling in Jats living in other states/provience.
Thanks.
Best Regards,
Proudly JAT

Nice to know that there are Jats in Maharashtra also. Please ask your friend to join Jatland. We can assure him that he will love it. We can learn some marathi from him and he can learn some haryaanvi here...WE might end up with mumbiya haryanvi ...

The point raised by Mr. Chahar is very pertinent. The issue has already been discussed on this site earlier. I feel, it is because most people who are participating on this site probably come from the State of Haryana and thus do write some times in Haryanvi language. But that does not mean that this site is Haryanvi site and not a Jat site. The feeling expressed by Mr. Chahar are genuine and site at times does give that impression. Again each individual is entitled to write what he feels is right so long it is not obscene and unparliamentry. Some time people like writing in their native language and that is right too for they feel more comfortable with it. So we do have to respect every one's feeling.

Idea of learning Haryanvi or Marathi is not a bad idea either. After all all languages are good languages and that is why they are being practiced by the people.

I agree with you Chaharji. and site seems to be more like Haryanvi rather than a representation of Jat Community. I am from Aligarh. Some of my relatives from Rajsthan and MP too, feel the same.

There are about 12 Jat villages near Nasik, these people contacted Jat Samaj Mumbai.
Also when we where in Nagpur, came to know that there are many Jat villages in Chandrapur district. Malva region in MP has many many Jat villages. Also there are villages in Andhra also.
We should all respect others as Jatland is a family site. By the way we have more people from Haryana on the site that is fine but when they become emotional they start interacting only in Haryanvi, which all cannot enjoy. Hence in bracket they should write in Hindi or English so all of us can enjoy it. Also we should write in Marathi, Brijbhasha or Punjabi with the same in Hindi in braket.
Also we have few active female members on the site, the young males should interact with due respect.

dear all,

The point raised is very relevent, but unfortunately very difficult and sensitive to tackle. As brought out one is free to interact in whatever language one wishes to communicate.

It is entirely individualistic to float oneself in awkward situation. At the same time people here are to be sensitive to interact in such situations.

1) the problem is when u reply to me in haryanvi, which i dont hunderstand at all.
2) if i cannot take part in whats happenning here, bcos majority of posts are in haryanvi i will one day finally get bored and leave.
3) by writting in haryanvi, its not only that i will not understand anything, but also create doubt in me that if i write something here, its more likely that ppl will not understand and grasp it completely. thus creating unnecessary tension in the forum, if misunderstood. this will again make me leave or be less active in the forum.

I agree with Colonel Sahab, but also like to request members from all regions and states to write something in their on dilect. That may be jokes in humor section or general info. about thier state / city/culture in the Time pass forum and avoide posting in local dilect where topics are of serious nature unless member is not comforable in writing either in English or Hindi .In situations where a member feels that there is no equalent word in English or hindi to that of local dilect that member should give a word in English or Hindi nearly making same sense.
General infomation about the city or state they come from in local dilect with meanings in bracket of dificult words can serve double purposes; learn about the place and cuture of varios jat regions, and have some feel of various local dilects spoken by Jats.
I still remember fondly, my friend Ganga Ram Dagar from Bharatpur saying, "Mohe na pato" for I don,t know( Mane na bera) and my friend Mohan Singh from Kisangarh( Rajasthan) adressing his young brother-in-law as" Bane sha"( bateu).
I would love see more of that on this site

Hi my lovely People,

The last thing I want to see on Jatland is a 'phoot' between diff. region jaats, online. There maybe some people who are So lets not even bother to discuss this topic.....if anybody wants to participate.......'Just do it' No questions.

United we stand........divided we fall !! A Jaat is a Jaat is a Jaat, no matter where he or she came from.

I also agree with you Chaharji that site seems to be more like Haryanvi. i am also facing problem in understanding some pure haryanvi threads.I am from MP. But see the majority on jat land more than 90% members are from hariyana.
Bracket idea is very nice , hum bhi hariyanvi sikh lenge is tarah.

I am definately a JAT first and any other identity or affinity comes after that ... be that religion .... state ... or culture ...........

so i hope we be a bit more co-operative to our Jat brethren from non-haryanvi background and at least for the sake courtsey, also translate our haryanvi posts in english / hindi ...
