Investment Banking/Query

Hi,

I am a software engineering working in usa. I want to get into Investment
Banking . Can anyone suggest how should i proceed........is a there a way like in US we r having consultants (who gives training )for c/c++, SAP, Oracle , etc..........Do anyone knows abt any consultant who gives training in Investment banking/Related field or anyother online certification........

Your best shot would be to go to a good business school and get an MBA. The bigger banks tend to focus their recruiting only on the top schools, so you might like to factor that in.

Also, IMHO, after meaningful work in tech/consulting, its easier to move to business consulting than banking, but it varies...

Thanks Nitin, for your prompt reply. I know MBA is the best option,
but due to some constants i don't want to go for it................
Can u suggest me anyother outlet if its there?
