Hey guys,
I came across this Hindi poem that we used to read in childhood... This poem enfuses strange kind of enthu and pride especially if you read it loud...

http://oldpoetry.com/poetry/41054

Actually I was thinking if we can use this thread to compile nursery rhymes practised in Haryana and among Jats at other places. Almost all cultures have nursery rhymes having idioms, phrases and metaphors typical to that culture... was wondering if there are such childern poems in jattu language (or Hindi for that matter) also... I can't remember remembering any nursery rhyme in jattu in childhood but used to listen lots of stories(most of which are no longer told these days)... though I remember 2 lines of such a poem which was long and many childern used to sing....

ladoo pede saste
masterji namste
masterji ne mara danda
haath pad gaya thanda.....
(aage bhool gaya)

Anyway, add to this thread if you remember any nursery rhyme or poems....

1] Bundele har bolon ke ke mukh hamne suni kahani thi
Khoob laddi mastani wo to jhansi wali rani thi.

Lietenant bokar aa pahuncha, aage badhha jawano mei
Rani nei talwaar khinch li, hua yudhh asmano mei
Mamuli yodhha na thi wo rani ek mardani thi
khoob laddi..........................
