Glad to see this post of yours, Dudi ji. Your efforts are commendable. I also visited Gurukul Jhajjar in early March and some photos of that place snapped by me are now available on "Jhajjar" page of Wiki section. Unfortunately, this institution is not in so good shape now-a-days, mainly because of lack of funds and administrative shortcomings and mismanagement. Museum there is in a pitiable condition and some items seem to have been stolen over time. Printing of books on literature and history is almost standstill. I bought the book Veerbhoomi Haryana by Swami Omanand, devoted some time in digitilising it and have put it on Wiki Section. There is need to print the second edition of this book and popularising it.

We need to make more concerted efforts to promote Jat history. Gifting a few history books to a select group of people will not make much impact. In one thread (on topic "Veerbhoomi Haryana) in this very section, Ravi ji has highlighted the need for digitilisation of more history books and uploading, for the benefit of all. It would be great if you get some books digitilised and uploaded.

Please keep on informing about your future ventures.

    Jats History in making

    http://www.jatland.com/forums/showth...ht=dudee+posts

ONE DAY IN SEARCH OF JAT HISTORY

One fine day in Febuary 2005.I with my wife Rajwanti and my brother
started from Bhiwani early morning. We visited Shaheed Rajbir Singh
Sheoran petrol pump near Bamla village close to old historical site of
Aurangabad. Passes IIT college. Kalanaur Gurukul and college.
Kalanaur is birth place of Jamadar Abdul Hafij VC Jat Regiment second
world war. We also passed new cricket stadium near Lahli.

We visited Subedar Randhir Singh Vir chakra service station near old
Historical site Khokara Kot in Rohtak.
After going through Historical city Rohtak and Asthal Bohar . We
visited Ch Chhotu Ram memorial & museum at Garhi Sapla village and
took some photograph of the statue and museum. One guard tried to stop
us, no photo no camera. We told him how can you stop a jat to take
photo of a Great leader in home village of Ch Chhoturam and jat
homelald. There was a big drama in Haryanvi.

We met Rampal ji at Jakoda mod and proceed to see Nihal singh Arya our
hero of the story in Desor Kheri village. He is nice person ,told us
story of his exp and how 5 students got their Phd from his help. He
presented me with a copy of his book. Sarvkhap ka Parachin Itihash.
We visited Kargil martyr Lilaram Memorial in Khunghai village.
All of sudden we came face to face with Fauji poet Jat Mehar singh
Memorial at Barona village and paid our tribute.
We visited Bhim Singh Dahiya family at sonipat. we presented our
books, paid our tribute and bought all books written by him.
We visited Harsana, Sisana the village of Col Hoshiar Singh PVC.
We passed through Bhalot , village of Ch Lalchand ex-PM of Bharatpur
    state.
We came to Rohtak to visit Capt Dalip Singh family for short time and
made further appointment for another visit.
We droped Rampal ji at Sidhanti Bhawan - Dayanand Math Rohtak and
    reached Bhiwani at 10 PM.
    more next time
    Dharmpal

    Dear Dayanand Deswal Ji
I fully agree with you. Aapne to mere Dil ki bat kah di.
Whatever efforts you, Laxman BurdakJi,Ravi ji and others doing on net Jatlandwiki and yahoo jathistory group is commandable. But we need more printed history books and Ebooks. Our masses are not connected to internet. We need collective positive efforts and team work. I visited Gurukul Jhajjar few time in the past. I requested to them to publish Swami Omanand ji left over material or give it to me so that we can finish his dream work. nothing done so far. They published some of swami is old letters in saravhitkari that include his visit to UK-USA and World tour. We can collect them and publish in a book as a tribute to swami ji.
Some friends asked me in the past to collect unpublished material from jat historiansand promise to sponser this venture. I visited them and got permission to reprint their books and put on internet as a E-books. We asked some to reprint, translate, put on CD as a E-book.Now so far no fund coming through this is the main problem.
Jat ki karni aur kathni mae farak aagaya hae.
Jhajjar Gurukul aur museum ko fund nahi mil raha
Jabki CM aur MP Local han.
7 generations sy Aryasamaji hone ka dham bharte han
Bat to yahan tak ho rahi han ki Gurukul jhajjar museum
ko KU Darohar museum ko transfer kardo.

Deswal Sir is absolutely right. Jhajjar Gurukul has deteriorated to quite a significant extent ever since Omanandaji passed away. I had been there in January and could feel it. Even my grandfather was very disappointed. There had been a mismanagement of funds in the Accounts and Finance department and the concerned person had resigned. We even visited his place to inquire about the proceedings. He himself was very unhappy with the treatment he got from Gurukul primes. According to him he had been made a scapegoat. I cannot really comment who was right and who was wrong but off-late there have been quite substantial ego-clashes in Jhajjar gurukul.

From my personal experience I was not happy to see the library condition and had a sneaky feeling it was opened after many months. Also five of the seven Chamanprash dabbas I had brought from there turned out to be spoilt when opened back home. This happened to me for the first time in about 6-7 years. Couldn't visit again the museum as someone had lost its keys.

I am too eagerly waiting for the e-Books. My special thanks to Deswal sir for putting Omanandaji's work here on Jatland.

    Thanks,
    Sumit
