GGN being hub for employment for hundreds of thousands people, it definitely needs attention on priority for -
1) Better roads and continuous repairing of these roads
2) Before rainy season, have all the clogging points checked…get them repaired annually and have an easy exit to rain water from sectors and colonies. GGN has scarcity of water; harvest this water if possible for different purposes
3) Have arrangements for drinking water, it’s a major problem in GGN.
4) Push Zila prishad councilors and other responsible authorities to work for their respective wards otherwise let them perish in the next term
5) Be tight on traffic laws’ breakers; give a ticket on the spot. Have programs to educate people about traffic laws through different mediums, be it camps or through FM or any other channel. Make License issuing process transparent and more stringent in issuing car/scooter/truck licenses. Let everybody complete the mandatory training before getting any license. STOP under cover money for at least issuing these licenses; this will in return save you, me and everybody.
6) Have regular traffic policemen to man the roundals and other congestion points. Don’t allow heavy vehicles to enter into City.
7) Move GGN bus stand somewhere on outskirts of city, may be towards Jhajjar side, this will not only ease out city congestion but will connect GGN to other part of Haryana ( Western periphery road – KMP road is also coming that side, it will make a better connectivity )
8) Have regular local public conveyance for people from bus station to Sec 57 and other adjoining sectors for better connectivity. If private vehicles allowed, have a stringent check on the number of passengers allowed.
9) Have regular ambulances running 24&7 in GGN city and on way to GGN-FDB road
10) Decentralization of employment – daily thousands of people migrate to GGN for employment and to make their living. Get some policies in place and encourage companies (software, hardware, production, non production firms etc) to have their Units in other appropriate cities. Rohtak, Bahadurgarh are not bad places to relocate them (though it’s a distant dream yet, but govt already deserves accolades for this as some of the companies have already setup their units in these places).
11) GGN being hub for people all over India, I still wonder why it doesn’t have more and better colleges for different streams(Science, Commerce, Arts), daily hundreds of students commute to Delhi or Fdb for their college. I can think of only one Engineering college in Sec 23, Palam Vihar.
12) Put a strong case to Central Govt to connect GGN to Jhajjar through railway network; the rail link is still there up to Faruknagar…it can be extended to Jhajjar. It will ease out GGN with congestion and make people more mobile in commuting.
13) Check price rise check in residential sectors/colonies in GGN, though Rohtak has already competed GGN, seems GGN stands on second place now.
14) Have a safe GGN – divide it into zones and appoint DCPs / SPs to check criminals and for the safety of public. Have a vigil in Malls to check any unlawful activity. Please don’t wait until any major terrorist attack to happen. Believe me, being adjoining to Delhi; GGN is such a safe place for anti social elements to carry out any such activities.
15) And last but not least…have a greener GGN and not the concrete jungle, encourage different NGOs for different socials works. Have better parks for civilians.
Above suggestions can also be observed in other parts of Haryana as well wherever applicable.
Thanks in advance to Haryana govt
