    bhai hooda sahb

aap logon ka raj sse. aur bhagwan kare ye chalta hi rahe. aur bhai CM te bhi upper badho.

even I'm surprised with this man. history in poetic style! even in this age who's blood boils for Jat.

Tomer is title but the basic got is Salkalayan. Similarly as nearby over there Mallik is title but basic got is Gathwal.

chol (chahal), cher (chahar/chahr), kadyanvas/kadambas, pallavs, gautami putra satkarni (some budhist jat) and salkalayan there apear togather, in south india's history. there were kingdoms like kang-naidu, aila-naidu (ahlawat jats), bana-naidu etc. over there. anmed after kang, ahlawat and bana jats. Many Jats migrated towards east and south India before and after Maurya empire. They continued to teach agriculture and some material culture (like ring well etc.) there in budhist and brahmins form.

    Dear and Respected Dudee Uncle,

What I was once told about the Salklyans (Slaklyan Tomar) Is that There was a Raja Salakpal.. Whose decedents, came to be known as salklyans. The village called Kishanpur-Biral, on the Delhi-Shamli highway was the home of Raja Salakpal, and as a matter of fact, in the year 1981, Ch. Satyapal Malik, (later MP and Union Minister) made a presence at an occasion in the village to mark the birth anniversary of the Raja against the ex PM Ch Charan Singh.

There is an another branch, Hun Tomars, who are in the opposite village, Kasimpur-Kheri, on the same road don't say themselves to have come from Salakpal. Now, Huns again have got a strong animosity with Jats and vice versa in the history. What then is the rationale of Tomars being Huns?

    Please help!

    Regards,

    Sam.

    Hun Tomars

    Hi Samiksha,

The Jat Historian Hukum Singh Pauria writes that Huns were also Aryans and some of them were absorbed in Jats. Hun Tomar may be some of them.

here is the map of Gupta empire from my history text book of 11th class NCERT, pg 182, by R S Sharma. It mentions certain dynasties of south and central India outside Gupta empire. Salaklayanas are also mentioned in it. That means till about 1500 years back the name was Salkalayan. Even today in marriages they pronounce it as Salkalayan and not Tomers.

Mentioned with Salakalayan are Kadamb (Kadamb/Kadyan Jats), Vakataka (Kalakil Jats, Chandragupta Vikramadityas daughter was married to Vakataka prince and at the time of marriage vakataka prince pronounced his got as Kalkil, it was nown as vindhya shakti vakataka kalkila), Gangas (Gangas Jats), Pallavas (Pahl/Payl Jats of Bulandshahar), Pandyas (Padha/Pandha Jats) etc. Guptas themselves Dharan Jats and earlier Jat rulers like More/Nandal etc. took all other Jats in south to expand agriculture and material culture there along with encouraging brahminism or budhism. Though history by mistake or otherwise recognised them either as Brahman rulers or is just silent about them but they were Jats. South indian brahmins and some other castes in south are originally from predominantly Jat stock.

However, I'm supporting here indirectly great man Dudiji only. Like R S Joon was a simple non historian army man but what he said about Guptas came true. Similarly what our elder people say comparing that with one presently in text books, the real and authentic history can be churned out. the facts may be little twisted in ancestral saying or in text books but the basic and most of them are same.
