I was talking to some jat professor and other educated jats yesterday and they gave me some interesting figures ( accurate they say ).......Like:
Total population of Jats in India( sikh jats not included) is about 3 crores as under
Haryana = 30 lac
Rajasthan= 90 lac
UP = 70 Lac
Uttrakhand= 10 lac
Himachal = 5 lac
MP = 20 Lac
Punjab = 10 lac
Delhi = 25 lac
other states and UTs= 15 lac
I never thought that Jats have this number.Can some one authenticate it further please.
OTHER STATISTICS REGARDING JOBS AND PROFESSIONS:
Out of the above population:
About 1% are the class one officers{ most of them in defense forces]
About 10% are in B-D class jobs ( Mostly in Defense,police and roadways....with just 2% of female employees]
About 1% are abroad
About 12% population is of retired people
About 1/2% are in own business
A few are in politics
Whopping 14%( mostly boys) are unemployed
43% are associated with Agriculture and house hold
about 18% are children,student and old people.
More accurate inputs are solicited please as there is always a chance of margin of error to the tune of 3-5 percent.
