Asalpur
Asalpur (आसलपुर) is a large village in Phulera tahsil of Jaipur district in Rajasthan.
Origin
Founded after Rani Asalde, daughter of Sodha Raja of Umarkot.[1]

जाट परिवेश[2] के अनुसार प्राचीन नरहड़ क्षेत्र एवं जैन प्रमाणों के आधार पर कुछ इतिहासकार झुंझुनू का अस्तित्व 8वीं शताब्दी में बताते हैं। नरहड़ से प्राप्त वि. स. 1215 (1159 ई.) के अजमेर के चौहान शासक विग्रहराज चतुर्थ का अभिलेख साबित करता है कि 13वीं सदी के आरंभ में इस क्षेत्र का अस्तित्व था। आसलपुर के बड़वों की बही से पता चलता है कि वि. स. 1045 (988 ई.) में झुंझुनू का का राजा सिद्धराज चौहान था।
जोबनेर पर चौहानों के बाद पहले हमीरदेका कछवाहों तथा फिर खंगारोत कछवाहों का आधिपत्य रहा इस शाखा के पूर्व पुरुष जगमाल कछवाहा और उनके पुत्र राव खंगारने पहले बोराज और फिर जोबनेर पर अधिकार कर लिया। ये जगमाल कछवाहा खानवा युद्ध में राणा सांगा की और से बाबर के विरुद्ध लड़े थे परन्तु बाद में मुग़ल साम्राज्य की स्थापना के बाद शाही मनसबदार बन गए. जगमल कछवाहा और राव खंगार ने अकबर की तरफ से अनेक युद्धों में भाग लिया था. जगमाल कछवाहा ने जोबनेर के पश्चिम में अपने नाम से जगमालपुरा गाँव बसाया। जो आज भी इस नाम से विद्यमान है. जनश्रुति है कि जगमल कछवाहा ने अपनी एक रानी आसलदे के नाम पर आसलपुर गाँव बसाया। राव जगमाल की यह रानी उमरकोट की राजकुमारी थी. जनश्रुति के अनुसार उमरकोट में हुमायूँ को शरण दिलाने में वहाँ के सोढा राजा की पुत्री एवं राव जगमाल की रानी आसलदे (नेतकंवर) का विशेष हाथ था. जगमल कछवाहा के बाद राव खंगार तथा उसके बाद राव खंगार के कनिष्ठ पुत्र मनोहरदास जोबनेर के शासक हुए. जिनसे खंगरोतों की मनोहर दासोत उपशाखा चली. डोडी, कोढ़ी, मंढा, भादवा, प्रतापपुरा, मरलीपुरा, आदि के खंगारोत उन्हीं की वंश परंपरा के हैं. This inscription was found at Kot Solankiyan, about 15 miles north-east of Desuri. It is engraved on a pillar of a Jaina temple now in ruins. I edit the inscription from two excellent estampages kindly supplied to me by Munsi Devi Prasad, Munsiff of Jodhpur. The record contains 8 lines of writing. The characters are Nagari. The language is Sanskrit, and the whole of the record is in prose except one verse in LL. 7-8 at the end. In respect of orthography, the only point that deserves to be noted is the doubling of a consonant in conjunction with a preceding r, in a-chamdrarkkam, L.6. The inscription is dated Friday, the 13th of the bright half of Chaitra in the [Vikrama] year 1394 elapsed, and refers itself to the reign of the Maharajadhiraja Sri-Vanaviratdeva. It then states that at Asalapura, the rauta Mularaja, of the family of the rauta Malhana, grandson of the Rauta Soma and son of the rauta Bambi and his wife Jakhaladevi, granted, for the spiritual merit of his parents, Dhikuyau together with a vadi or orchard, on the occasion of hoisting the flag of the temple of Parsvanathadeva, in the presence of the rauta Bala, Lumbha and Nimva.
Dhikuyau seems to be the name of a machine-well. Asalapura occurs also in another Inscription of Kot Solankiyan and appears to have been the old name of that place.
