Asit

Asit (असित) or Asita (असित)is gotra of Jats derived sanskrit word Asit which means not white. These are nagavanshi Kala Jats, who inhabited Parbatsar area.

In the family line of Kashyapa, along with him there are two more discoverers of Mantras, namely, his sons Avatsara and Asita.
