Auchandi (औचंदी) is a beautiful village of Jats in North-West district of Delhi also referred as outer Delhi. The village is around 5 kms from Bawana towards Kharkhoda. Auchandi is the very first village upon entering Delhi from Ferozepur Bangar, Haryana. It is also known as Delhi-Haryana Border (Auchandi Border).

Origin

The name Auchandi came from the Rajsthan's migrated Chaudhary Ameechand who chose this place to settle down. It is said that the village was founded around 1200 A.D.

Mostly Lohchab /Lochab[1] gotra is found in the village which is one among the 5 villages in Delhi, Haryana and UP. There are some families with Kharb gotra also.
