Balak (बालक) is a village of 7000 population in Hisar district of Haryana, under Hisar Tehsil.
Origin
According to H.A. Rose[1] Certain villages in Hissar derive their names from a tradition that a giant was killed and each of his limbs gave a name to the place where it fell, e.g. : — Balak = where the giant's bāl (hair) fell.

- Ridhi Nath Ji (Saran) - From village Balak was a noted Sadhu of Nath Sampraday. His pupil Jaj Jiwan Nath (जगजीवननाथ) founded Math at Pandreu Teeba in Churu district of Rajasthan.
