Bhardwaj (भारद्वाज) is gotra of Jats. This gotra started from Bhardwaja rishi. [1] They are found in village Khalor in Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh.

History

Bhisma Parva in Sanskrit mentions the province of Bhardwaj along with Atris and Kalingas in shloka 67 as under:

आत्रेयाः स भरद्वाजास तदैव सतनयॊषिकाः
औपकाश च कलिङ्गाश च किरातानां च जातयः ।।67।।
