Bhayan (भयान) Bhayan (भयाण) gotra of Jats is descended from Chauhan vansha. They are found in Haryana.

History
There was a Rajasthani jat with 'Chauhan' surname. He migrated to southern Haryana region few hundred years ago. He had two sons - Bhaina and Jugaa. Offsprings of Bhaina came to be known as 'Bhayan' and Offsprings of Jugga came to be known as 'Jaglan'.
Given their same roots, Hindu jats of Jaglan, Bhayan, Khunga and Chauhan do not intermarry.

- Chaudhary Devichand Bhayan - Social worker, Associated with many social Institutions, Founder Uppradhan and later Pradhan Haryana Jat Sabha, Hon editor Haryana Jat Sabha samachar. Born at villageJewra (जेवरा) in Hisar district in Haryana on 18 November 1927. [1] He was edotor of 'Jat Darshan' published from Hisar. He died on 21 April 2006 at the age of 82. [2]
