Chhoga Ram Godara
Chaudhary Chhoga Ram Godara (b. 1902-d.1994) S/O Khema Ram Godara from Akkhasar village in Bikaner District was a social worker from Rajasthan.[1]
He was born in samvat 1959 at his nanihal Ramsar. He came in contact with Social worker Ram Gopal Mohta in Bikaner and learnt reading and writing. [2]
Social service
Chaudhary Chhoga Ram Godara came in contact with Swami Keshwanand and started campaign to eradicate social evils like Dowry, Mrityubhoj, chhuchhak etc. and spreading education among the farmers. Those who assisted him in this campaign were Ch. Pokar Ram Benda, Ch. Dharma Ram Sihag of Palana, Ch. Kumbha Ram Arya, Ch. Ganga Ram Mistri of Bikaner, Ch. Dewa Ram Rintod, Ch. Binja Ram Bhobia of Badnu, Advocate Harishchandra Nain, Mangala Ram etc.[3]
Regarding the spread of education he started the work of Kisan Chhatrawas Bikaner in samvat 2003. He was a lifetime trusty of this hostel.
He remained sarpanch of his village Panchayat for about 15 years. He took very important steps for rural education and development.
Kisan Chhatrawas Bikaner
It was founded in year 1931 by Chaudhari Pokar Ram Benda S/O Pooran Ram Ji Benda of Nagaur. It was initially developed as Jat Dharmshala in Ranibajar Bikaner on the land owned by Chaudhari Pokar Ram Benda but later converted to Kisan Chhatrawas.
On 10 March 1947 a trust of Kisan Dharmshala and Kisan Chhatrawas was registered with Registrar of Bikaner state with following members:
- 1. Ch. Pokar Ram Benda
- 2. Pandit Shankardatt Ji Vaidya, Mohta Hospital, Bikaner
- 3. Seth Ram Krishna Ji Agarwal, Bikaner
- 4. Ch. Chhoga Ram Godara S/O Khema Ram Godara, Akkhasar
- 5. Ch. Dharma Ram Sihag, Palana
- 6. Ch. Ganga Ram Mistri, Bikaner
- 7. Ch. Binja Ram Bhobia S/O Kesara Ram Bhobia, Badnu.
The land as par patta is 105 x 68.75 yards = 7218.75 sq. yard.
Death
He died in samvat 2049 on 16 July 1994.

ठाकुर देशराज[4] ने लिखा है.... चौधरी छोगाराम जी - [पृ.153]: मरुभूमि सेवा कार्य में योग देने वाले ग्रामीणों में चौधरी छोगाराम जी का कार्य प्रशंसनीय है। आपने अपने स्कूल खुलवाने के लिए इस संस्था को 500 रुपए दान में दिए। इस नौजवान का संवत 1959 के क्वार महीने में जन्म हुआ। आपके पिता चौधरी खेमाराम जी गोदारा जाट है। तहसील कोलायत में अकासर आपका गांव है।
