Chitora (चितोरा) or Chitaura (चितोरा) is a village in Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh. It is situated at a distance of about 15 km from Gohad in south-west on Gohad-Mau Road. Its PIN Code is 477116.
Chitora Fort
This was the site of fort of Bamraulia Rana Jats of Gohad.
The forts nearby Gohad such as Chitaura, Karwas, Madhaina, Itayli, Pipahad etc were managed by chieftains of Bamraulia clan.[1]
