Desh-Khap is a group of 84 villages of Tomar Gotra in District Bagpat in Uttar Pradesh. Barout is the capital of Desh-khap. Bijraul, Bamrauli, Kasimpur, Kishanpur, Baoli etc are main villages of this Khap. Baba Shah Mal of this Khap was a Tomar Jat resident of village Bijraul in the pargana of Barout in Uttar Pradesh. His role in the freedom movement of 1857 is unparallel. [1]
