Dhoot (धूत) Dhut (धूत) gotra Jats live in Rajasthan and Pakistan.

Origin

They seem to be originated from Dhot (धोत) or Thot who was an ancient Jat King of Yuti vansha of Bundi area in Rajasthan around 4-6th century .

History

Bharhut Inscriptions on Rails— S. W. Quadrant. at S.No. mentions the gift of Dhut as under:

30. Dhutasa Suchi dānam. = " Rail-gift of Dhuta."
