Atal Singh Khokhar
Dr Atal Singh Khokhar , born on 25 July 1940 at village Patti Dhankoshiya, Chhaprauli, Baghpat - 250617 (Uttar Pradesh), in the family of Shri Baldev Singh, is noted Jat Historian. He is author of following books on Jat history in Hindi -
- "Jāton kī Utpati evam Vistār (Jarta taranginī)" (जाटों की उत्पत्ति एवं विस्तार (जर्त तरंगिणी), 2002, Publisher - Jaypal Agencies, 31-B, Subhashpuram, Bodla, Agra.
- Prachin Jat Aur Khokhar Itihas (प्राचीन जाट और खोखर इतिहास), 2013, Publisher - Jaypal Agencies, 31-B, Subhashpuram, Bodla, Agra.
Education
He did his High School in 1954 and Inter in 1956 from Shri Vidya Mandir Inter College Chhaproli; BA in 1960 and MA in 1962 from Digambar Jain College Baraut (Agra University). He did B.Lib. Science in 1977 from Vikram University Ujjain and MA Hindi in 1977 from Meerut University. He did Ph.D. in Geography in 2000 from Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut.
Career
Dr Atal Singh Khokhar is former librarian of Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya No. 1, New Delhi. He joined this service on 9 September 1963 and retired on 31 July 2000.
His family
He has got one daughter named Satyavati and son Sukhpal Singh from his first wife late smt Jihani Devi. He has got one daughter Anita and son Sompal from second wife Smt Shakuntala.
