Gagraun (Gagraon, Gāgraon) (गागरौन) is a village in Jhalawar district in Rajasthan. It is situated about 10 km north of Jhalawar city.
History
Khichi (खीची) Khich (खीच) gotra of Jats [1]originated from ancestral person Khichi, who was king of area with capital at Gagraun. [2] Probably they are same as Khichar clan of Chauhans.
The city of Jhalawar is situated in the south-eastern region of Rajasthan, a region widely known as Hadoti (Hadavati), the land of Hadas. The Hadas are a major branch of the great Chauhan clan of Agnikula Rajputs.
