Harish Choudhary (Godara) (हरीश चौधरी) is the Congress MP elected from Barmer Parliamentary Constituency in general elections 2009. He has been elected Congress MLA from Bayatu Assembly constituency in 2023.

Political History

He is congress leader from western Rajasthan and has done Post Graduation from Jodhpur University. He was University president during his study at home town Jodhpur and has good grip with the people of Barmer and Jaisalmer. The area around village Kawas came into news in 2006 when it was inundated due to monsoon rains on 19-20 August 2006. The region faced the worst flood in last 100 years. Several hamlets and villages were wiped out. Harish Choudhary helped the villagers during this period and earned the good will of people of this area.

He won Barmer Lok Sabha Seat by 1 lakh 19 thousand defeating BJP candidate Manvendra Singh, son of Jaswant Singh.
