Kachmunia (कचमुनियाँ)[1] is a gotra of Jats.[2][3]

Origin

These people were inhabitants of republic Kampilya (काम्पिल्य), which gave name to this clan.[4]

History

Kampila (कम्पिल) is a place name mentioned by Panini under Sankashadi (संकाशादि) (4.2.80.10) group. [5]
