Kushwah

Kushwah (कुशवाह) is a gotra of Jats.[1][2] They are mainly found in Rajputs. James Tod places it in the list of Thirty Six Royal Races.[3]

Origin

They are believed to be descendants of Rama's son Kusha (कुश). [4]

History

They became popular from Kharavela's inscriptions, who got victory in vikram second century at Sidhmukh (Ratangarh). (See - Hathigumpha inscription). [5]
