Lal Chand Kajla

Col. Dr L.C. Kajla was a famous cardiologist doctor and a personal physician to India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru along with being the first jat M.B.B.S.

He was an intelligent and well known physician. After completing his graduation, he initially worked as a private practitioner in Kosli, near Rewari and later joined the Army Medical Corps, during pre-independence era.

He belonged to village Soldha and after his retirement from Army, was running his clinic at Kirby Place, Delhi Cantonment.

He had two sons, one of whom expired in an accident after passing out from NDA (National Defence Academy) and the other son is a reputed physician, settled in US.

Dr. Kajla carried the reputation of being a very kind-hearted man, who did a lot for the society by treating many patients free-of-cost and also donated his ancestral small building for the school children in his village.
