Mangu Singh

Mangu Singh (Dabas) (born 15 December 1955) is managing director of Delhi Metro (DMRC). He took over as managing director after E. Sreedharan, the former managing director, who retired from service on 31 December 2011. He is an Indian Railways Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer of the 1981 batch.Then he married to Veerbala.

Personal Life

Singh was born in a small town of Uttar Pradesh called Alawalpur Nainu (Najibabad). Born in on 15 December 1955, Singh received his early education from his native place and later graduated in civil engineering from the highly prestigious University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) in 1979 with an outstanding academic performance. He also received Master of Science (sustainable development)

DMRC Expansion Plans

Mangu Singh is in-charge of the Metro's Phase III expansion plan and is also at the forefront of the Capital's first private sector Metro corridor - the high-speed Airport Express line. He was Metro's point person for coordinating and overseeing smooth implementation of the project.
