Naglā Lakhan (Paingor) (नगला लखन) (पैंगोर) is a village in tehsil Kumher of Bharatpur district in Rajasthan.

Location

It is a well connected village. It is situated on Sonkh-Kumher road. It is spread over about 1215 acres.

History

As per district gazetteer this village was established in year 582 AD by a Jat named Lakhan of Sinsinwar clan. These people had migrated from Chaumunda, Paingor. Lakhan’s son Sobi Ram named one of its portion as Saunwarba. Later the Maharaja Suraj Mal of Bharatpur, named its thoks in the names guns.

The village has a population of about 3000 people with about 300 families. 48 percent population of the village consists of Jats of Sinsinwar gotra. There are 22% Jatavs, 15% brahmans, 5% Vaishyas and 10% other castes in the village.

There are many Jats of the village in government services. One Jat officer in Air force, One Jat is RPF Commander, 2 Jats BDOs, 4 Jats are Engineers, 2 Jats are education officers etc.
