Naich (नाइच)[1][2] [3] is Jat Gotra found in Shahpur, Multan, Bahavalpur districts in Pakistan. [4],[5]
History
H.A. Rose[6] refers Maclagan who describes Bhuttas as a Jat or Rajput clan found in Multan tahsil and allied to the Langahs, etc., Bhutta, Langah, Dahar, Shajra and Naich, being said to be sons of Mahli in the couplet : —
- Saghi, jihāndi dādi, Sodi jihāndi mā,
Distribution in Pakistan
Naich - The Naich claim Rajput ancestry. They found in Bahawalpur, Sadiqabad, Kabirwala, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Bhakkar and Khushab districts of Punjab. The Naich are a Saraiki-speaking Jat clan.
According to 1911 census, the Naich Muslim Jat clan had a population of 4,093 in Bahawalpur State in Pakistan.[7]
