Nohar (नोहर) Nahir (नाहिर) is gotra of Jats. Nohar are descendants of Raja Nahusha (नहुष). [1]

Nohar town

Nohar (नोहर) is a town and tehsil of Hanumangarh district in Rajasthan. Earlier it was a tehsil of Reni nizamat of Bikaner state in Rajputana. It is situated at 129 miles northeast of Bikaner and 58 miles west of Hisar. Its population consisted 34 % Jats in 1901 census. Gogameri is a famous place at 16 miles in east where a fair of Gogaji is organized every year in August-September months after Gogaji who was a Chauhan Rajput and became musalman and is said to had sway from Hansi to the sutlej in thirteenth century.
