Ostaran or Ostran (ओस्तरां) is a village in Bhopalgarh tehsil of Jodhpur district of Rajasthan situated at a distance of 10 km from Bhopalgarh. The village is well connected by road. It is the biggest village of Bhopalgarh tehsil.

The village is very ancient. It was earlier abandoned and resettled again. The old site of village has Parshwanath Jain Temple. The literacy in the village is about 50 %. There is no woman in any service in the village.

Jat Gotras in Village

The village has about 600 families out of which 350 families are of Jats. The biggest Jat gotra in the village is Sengwa. Other Jat gotras are Saran, Pachar, Bhamu, Gulia, Machra, Gwala, Godara, Sohu, Borana etc.
