Paharsar (पहाडसर) village is in Churu district in Rajasthan. Hira Singh Chahar (हीरासिंह चाहर), a social reformer, folk-singer and freedom fighter, was born in this village on 17 January 1901 in the family of Laxman Ram Chahar, who joined Arya Samaj at the age of fourteen and spread the doctrine of Arya Samaj in remote villages of Rajasthan.
