Panchali (पाञ्चाली)[1][2] is gotra of Jats.

Origin
This gotra is said to be originated from Panchala (पाञ्चाल) kingdom whose capital was at Kampil (कम्पिल) and Ahichhatrapur (अहिछत्रपुर). [3]
Mention by Panini
Panchali (पांचाली) is mentioned by Panini in Ashtadhyayi. [4]
History
In the great Indian Hindu epic Mahabharata, Draupadi (wife of the five Pandava brothers) was the princess of Panchala; Panchali was her other name.
