Pannu (पन्नू) Pannam (पन्नम) Jat gotra is found in some villages of Hansi in Haryana and Gwalior region of Madhya Pradesh. Pannam has originated from Pravartaka (प्रवर्तक) ganarajya. [1] They have been mentioned in Mahabharata Shalya Parva shloka 48 as under:
- जयं महाजयं चैव नागौ जवलनसूनवे
- परथथौ पुरुषव्याघ्र वासुकिः पन्नगेश्वरः ।। 48 ।।

Distribution in Haryana
Villages in Hisar district
There are number of villages of this gotra in Hansi(हांसी) tehsil, such as Thurana, Putthi, Mohlaa, often known as Mohlaa (मोहला) Badchhapar (बङछपर) due to the vicinity of village Badchhapar.
