Shri Parasram Maderna (born July 23, 1926) is a leader of Indian National Congress from Rajasthan, India. He was born in Hindu Jat family of Maderna gotra. He belongs to Chadi Village in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan.

Education

He did his basic education at his village and then at Jodhpur, thereafter proceeding to do MA & LLB.

Freedom fighter

He joined the India’s freedom struggle while perusing his prost-graduation. On his return to Rajasthan he joined and worked with Sh Baldev Ram Mirdha through Marwar Kisan Sabha & then Rajasthan Kisan Sabha under Sh. Baldev Ram ji Mirdha, which led to one of the country largest agrarian movement resulting in abolition of Jagirs in erstwhile estates of Marwar & Mewar by passing the historic Tenancy Law enabling cultivating farmers to be ‘owners’ of their own land.

With the merger of Kisan Sabha into Indian National Congress he started his public career in 1953 by getting elected to very basic of democratic level as Sarpanch of Village Chadi and then moving on to getting elected nine times as Member of Legislative Assembly Rajasthan. Retiring at the very helm as Speaker of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.

In course of his public and political life he has been minister in Rajasthan Cabinit of General Admistrative, Revenue, Panchayat Raj, Cooperative, Forest, Colonization, Rehabilitation, Flood, Famine, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Community Development, Local Bodies and Sheep & Wool, Energy, Irragation Departments.

He did not forget his roots and people of Rajasthan gave him immense respect and recognition. He has earned a repute of formidable admistrator and a man of honor.
