Siyal (सियाल) Syal (स्याल) Syala (स्याल) is gotra of Jats in Madhya Pradesh. They live in Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh. This gotra originated from Syala (स्याल), a Ydava prince, who insulted the sage Gargya, and was the cause of his becoming the father of Kalayavana, a great foe of Krishna and the Yadava family. [1]

History

The Sundha Hill (Jodhpur) inscription of Chechigadeva mentions the Salya (Syal), the Sanghas, and the Nahras. [2] [3]
