Toran (तोरन)[1][2] is gotra of Jats in Uttar Pradesh. [3]

This gotra is said to be originated from Nagavanshi mahapurusha Taruna (तरुण). [4]
In Mahabharata
Adi Parva, Mahabharata/Mahabharata Book I Chapter 57 gives the Names of all those Nagas that fell into the fire of snake-sacrifice: Tarunaka was from Nagas of race of Dhritarashtra. [5]
