Dear All,

Please read
Immigration Rule Changes in Australia from April 1, 2004

On April 1 2004, the Minister of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous affairs, Amanda Vanstone announced changes to the skilled Independent pass mark.

All Skilled Independent Subclass 136 visas lodged after 14 April 2004 will require 120 points to pass the points test.

All skilled Onshore Independent New Zealand Citizens subclass 861 will also require 120 points.

All applications lodged at the Adelaide skilled processing centre on or after April 14 2004 will be affected by this change.

International students applying under Skilled Independent Overseas Student
(subclass 880) and currently studying have a special concession whereby they will not need to meet the 120 pass mark until 14 April 2005, the pass mark remains the same at 115.

No sponsored applications will be affected. For more information visit www.immi.gov.au & keep visiting www.helloindia.com.au, for latest updates.
