Dear Friends,

We all know what Brahman means to most of us. However, very few of us might know that Brahman was the name given to Indian Bulls in USA and Australia. Introduction of the Indian bulls is nothing less than a phenomenon in animal husbandary in those countries. How come when USA and Australia has gained so much from our breeds and we have been neglecting them in India? Why our farmers are not educated enough to get involved in farm animal breeding like their ancestors? Here are the links for all of you to get some insight;

1. http://www.brahman.org/
2. http://www.brahman.com.au/
3. http://www.ansi.okstate.edu/breeds/cattle/brahman/

I feel this is one area where our farmers should become active. Living on wheat and sugarcane farming is not going to take us too far. If our bulls can bring revolutions in far away lands, what stops us doing the same in India?
