Hi,
First do ur GNIIT with full dedication.Its time of your life which will define your future.Master one language and have layman knowledge of others.You can go into anyone of these:
1. System programming -C,C++.(Will always be in demand)
2. Microsoft Tech- C# and ASP.net..Master C#
3. Sun Tech- Java and J2SE
Moreover, read some books on database designing and UML.
You really have to work hard to get job as a fresher.So, give all ur efforts to this semester.
