Even lipstick is not safe anymore...what next?

Brands don't mean everything. Rcently a brand called "Red Earth" decreased their prices from $67 to
$9.90. It contained lead. Lead is a chemical which causes cancer.

The Brands which contain lead are:
I. CHRISTIAN DIOR
2. LANCOME
3. CLINIQUE
4. Y.S.L
5. ESTEE LAUDER
6. SHISEIDO
7. RED EARTH (Lip Gloss)
8. CHANEL (Lip Conditioner)
9. MARKET AMERICA-MOTNES LIPSTICK.

The higher the lead content, the greater the chance of causing cancer.
After doing a test on lipsticks, it was found that the Y.S.L.lipstick contained
the most amount of lead. Watch out for those lipsticks which are supposed
to stay longer. If your lipstick stays longer, it is because of the
higher content of lead.

Here is the test you can do yourself:
1. Put some lipstick on your hand.
2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick color changes to black then you know the lipstick contains lead.

No no no ! Guys u pay attention.

Gals just wear lipstick but u have to eat it:D , so ask ur gals not to wear them.

Another part (to test the lead content) is even worse (for guys):

They have to give a gold ring first , only then their gals will be able to check the lead content in lipstick.
Another damage on pocket of guys who work their a*ses off to buy lipstick and bread:rolleyes:

Well thats true that sindoor is a form of lead n still it hasn't been that harmful to people because it is been used externally.
Ofcourse, it doesnot make it safe to be swallowed upon.

Infact, I appreciate the girl's efforts to bring such an important thing to everybody's notice.

Moral of the story 'Change the brand girls'.

Kajal and Surma has been used extensively in South Asia. Afghan males still use surma. Both Kajal and Surma contain lead in significant amount. I am yet to hear anyone developing eye cancer from the use of Kajal and Surma. Certainly there is risk if some one is exposed to fumes containing lead for long time. Lead fumes inhaled are likely to increase lung cancer. However, I am not sure if Surma, Sindoor and Kajal etc produce lead vapours when applied to human body. There are numourous studies which talk of bad effects of lead in human body, but none has proved conclusively about the use of Kajal, sindoor and Surma etc. Here is one such report posted on FDA's website;

One wonders why FDA is so particular about lead contents in Asian cosmetic products and not in European and American products. I have never read the amount of lead contenets on the labels of Westen Cosmetic products.
