Can anybody tell me about careers or job perspective in Economics? My sister had done MA(Economics) and now she is looking for further career or job oriented courses in Economics.

Give me some suggestions or advice for some good
careers in Economics.

Balraj Dahiya

Dear Uncle,

Thanks for information.

Actually Phd is a long term process and you have to do M.phil for registeration in Phd nowadays.

There are only few teaching jobs in economics.

I am asking about jobs in private sectors for economics also.

Hello!!

i am in final year...Economics(Hons) in esteem delhi college..since there is hardly any direct job after Economics. After graduation one can go for MBA ,going for Master from abroad is also one good option....But it require good amount of money...
last but most important is going for Ph-D.Yes one can also go for B-Ed course. Its all depend on one interest and more important aptitude

Hi Niti,

Studying abroad donot always need money. If you prepare well for your Toffel and GRE scores. It canbe just not only free but also paying. There are so many fellowships and assistantships one can get.

But giving a serious try is an important step.

Give it a serious try and you will succeed.

PhD in USA would be a great option....a decent GRE score and a well written SOP can get her into lot of good universities....these programs support the student with a research or a teaching assistantship...monthly stipened vary upon the university but on an average is $1200...more than sufficient to have a decent living standard...most people finish their PhD in 2 to 3 years...finding a job afterwards would not be that difficult either...
