Genghis Khan, better known for rampaging across much of Asia, Europe and the Middle East to create one of the world's greatest empires, is also considered the founder of globalisation, Chinese state media said on Monday.

One wonders if globalisation and empire building go hand in hand ? What are the views of Jatland Economists on the subject?

I am reading Jack Welch's "Straight From the Gut."

In simple words, globalization is the eliminiation of political boundaries and integration of different territories for the common purpose of free-trade that leads to mutual benefit for all participants.

The article hardly makes any sense. All that Genghis Khan did was plunder and oppress the occupied territories. Such an environment cannot lead to free trade.

While under Globalisation everyone is a winnner. Under tyrrany there are winners and loosers.

It hardly makes any sense to me.

Genghis Khan was a dreaded criminal. He never had any kinda royal regulations towards his empire, he only believed in butchering and conquering. He was only a damn invador, cursed by the devil. Today is his day 6-6-6.

Chinese are getting mad, there are trying to establish themselves to the world history against Europeans and Indians by provoking these absurdic comments. Recently Chini media released an ancient chinese world map said to be earlier than the known mankind era.

These yellow chinks are sparing nothing to proove their history the greatest on Earth, no matter how much false propaganda they might have to use.
