step 1 : copy these lines and paste them in notepad

REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters]
"SackOpts"=dword:00000001
"TcpWindowSize"=dword:0005ae4c
"Tcp1323Opts"=dword:00000003
"DefaultTTL"=dword:00000040
"EnablePMTUBHDetect"=dword:00000000
"EnablePMTUDiscovery"=dword:00000001
"GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize"=dword:0005ae4c


step 2 : now save this file as a.reg file and save it on desktop


step 3 : Goto start-> Run
in Run ->browse
locate that file a.reg and run it

Probably,the reason behind is that it directly interects with the system registry.The registry grows as the system ages, it slows access to the registry, and increases the risk period during which a crash, reset or power off will interrupt the process of directory writes and thus corrupt the file.For this reason, it is sometimes advisable to compact the registry. In Windows 98, there's a utility called ScanReg that will do that.In fact, if the system detects too much dead space within the registry, ScanReg may perform this task automatically.
