Dear friends
does this jathood realy exist or it's just a topic every jat likes to
speak, i mean how many people i know, who belong from the community but once they get on any big position they start behaving like socialist, who don't believe in jathood or any sought of brotherhood,is it coz suddenly when he see's the calm and troublefree atmosphere he becomes numb of the troubles of his people?. EX VC of IIT Roorkee, i know cases with in iit he always use to
cooperate every one except jats. he was jat himself but don't know what kind of hatred he has for jats in him, another one is from my personal experience while my admission in a convent my dad asked a jat teacher to watch me while the entrance test( and he reacted like my dad had asked him to cross 'English channel' though my dad scolded him straight in a jat meet where he was spiting his heart for jats) anyways, these are just two instances, i know many but what i want to know is that is this jathood realy exist or it is just a meaningless word.i wish that there would be a jat forum who can do something for such jat like the way they use to do in olden days by giving away the hukka pani of the person.i request every jat to think on this issue.
God bless

Take it easy mate......... **** happens everywhere.......
The reasons for this behaviour are many ...one of them... with jats especially........
They expect help from others and in some cases it is taken as granted..
Sometimes I feel, Jats are not humble people and not really thankful for what other person has achieved..... I mean people dont appreciate how much you worked hard to get there .... u know what i mean..........
I dont think there is anything as jathood...... There is every man for himself......... but there is brotherhood in jats everywhere and people do help if its genuine.........:)

dear amit

helloo... wt narender bhai said is almost rite... nd i have seen hundreds f jats who r in favour f jats alws..

frstly taking ur point on iit roorkee V.C. ..... i dont know of which sessioins u r talking about.... bt nw its DEAN is a jat nd he is so much filled with jathoodness... tht once he even helped one f my frnds VIKAS BISLA , goin out f way nd getting things done in his favour... he is jus a super jat..

then here in chandigarh only in police stations we have many police officers like Mr. Satbir Gahlawat ND Mr. Jagbir Dahiya .... they r the reall boss of chd police nd the working of it is in their hands they r so effective jus because of their KHAUFF in the city nd among criminals.... nd many times when we jats are in face to face in ny matter or other they do try to gv us the unobjectionable edge... nd its nt for once...

aur bhai they r officers... nw simply talking abt the mamas standing at every round about when they catch us without helmet nd then find us jats with the frst word we speak they say tht , "arey jaaaoo , kyun shar main bhaddak karo hoo " haha..... this is wt they say..... nd nw the reason i dont knw y they say so.. ya to wey nu jaaney hain akk haryaaney key jaat dhorey pissey nahi millengey... kasutta ronn laag jaya karey police tey pissey denti haan wey..hahah........ arr panjaabiii ek bey fatkaar maari arr 100-200 likdey... SO THEY LOOK FOR THE SIMPLE SHIKAAR......... hahaha

nyways.. nthng like jokes bt earlier we never used to have ny jat officer with whom we cud test this experiment untill chautala saab appointed hundreds of jat pfficers in various fields..... nw when in a pain the common man visits ny jat officer then half of his pain is gone when he looks at the name plate out side the office of the officer.... i do feel tht the officers do give this jathoodness an edge till its fine with law nd many times out f the law......

hail these jat officers.... we r proud of them:)

My swimming instructor back in school was a Jat. His last name was Deswal. Dont remember the first name of the A-Hole.

My mother and grandfather asked him to help me out as I was bad swimmer. Deswal was an abusive instructor. He got some kind of pleasure out of caning his "male" students.

Once my mother asked for his personal attention, he became even more abusive. I was a 10 year old child back then. But, I am aquaphobic even today. I am scared of even staring in a pool. I am still having a tough time getting over his abuse.

But, I am not "dumbell-phobic." If I ever see him again in my life I will thrash him with a 100 pound dumbell. I hope he is reading this.

This is a "Deswal alert." Any Deswal who knows of a Deswal swiming instructor in DPS Noida, please forward me his information. Informants anonimity will be assured. :D :D Naah! I am serious. This guy needs to amend for his sins.

So, I have personally witnessed this "anti-jat" mentality among jats once they start living in culturally diverse areas.

When you belong to a certain group expectation of, other people in that group are very high from you. They always feel that you will go till any extend of help them because we share a mutual bond of jathood. But, like other individuals, jats also have their own limits.

From my experience, jathood really exist. I meet so many good jats who are ever ready to help you. I have some bad experiences also but I don't count those people as real JATS.

So, I have personally witnessed this "anti-jat" mentality among jats once they start living in culturally diverse areas.

I have also witnessed this anti-Jat mentality amongst Jats more than once......and some reasons that I could attribute(with a fear of redundancy) to this are:

Success Trip- even now majority of Jats are not very well to do and evolved both financially and culturally (being farmers and all). So now whenever a Jat educates or enriches him/herself (in my daadi's golden words "Chaar akshar padh e hai ya chaar paise jod le hai") he/she tends to get on a high trip of this success. This trip takes that Jat brother/sister to such a high that they tend to find other Jats very petty and too low to have any connection.

Insecurity- Now the same Jat who is riding on recent success starts developing insecurities. The insecurity of getting back to where he/she started, the past seems to come across as nightmare. Now any other Jat who so ever he comes across seems to bring this newly successful Jat in touch with his/her past (nightmare) so our recently successful Jats starts to avoiding others and if need be might as well prevent them from sharing this success.

Jat image- On top of this the Jat community as a whole still seems to present an image of backward aggresive group of people. So it is easy to understand why a recently successful Jat would become anti-Jat, since backwardness and agression are negatively correlated with success.

But, this should not cause any concern amongst us Jats. Such is bound to happen (human nature). This situation is not limited to Jats, any community which is renowned for its backwardness and has high number of "nouveau riche" suffers from the same. Be it Irish, eastern europeans, coloured folks and immigrants, in west or us. Such feelings of self-hatred/respect (for a lack of better word) vanish as the community progresses gradually which takes a generation or two.

P.S. Sumit, your post was really hillarious....especially the Deswal alert. I will keep it in mind.

Cheers,

Ha ha ha "Deswal Alert"....

Sumit, mere yaar. Violence is bad and going down that route is not
advocated.

Nuh kar, ooh Deswal ne apne dhore bitha ke 5-6 ghante tahin
"Government is the disease" aala path phada de. By God, tere
paanyaan mein mawaafi maangta-2 na pad ja tae besak munnae
dumbell tae peet liye...

That way he will amend for his sins and be informed all at the
same time.

Agar koi Jat kisi jat to help nahi karta hai to yah galat hai or agar jat ko
hate karta hai to wo jat nahi hai.

Hello Amit
Not just with ours but these kinda things happen in every community and infact every relegion. "Ghar ka bhedi" har ghar me hai. You just saw 2 but i have seen plenty of examples. People just care for themselves thats it.

Nothin new mate. It happens everywhere. Dont bother, and dont loose your spirit to others. Live life to the full 'throttle'.
